BlazBlue Entropy Effect is a fast-paced action-roguelike that doesn't take things lightly when it comes to combat. You get to pick from a roaster of 13 characters called Prototypes as you fight your way through a cyberpunk futuristic world. Each character in the game comes with their own unique abilities and playstyle, but to use them, you'll first have to unlock them.

While the game starts you off with a character of your choosing, unlocking the rest comes later. In this guide, we'll walk you through the exact process of unlocking each Prototype in BlazBlue Entropy Effect.

How to Get More Characters in BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Blazblue Entropy Effect features some of the most popular characters from their fighting game. To unlock them and use them on your runs, you'll need to use Prototype Analyzer. You get to choose one for free at the beginning of the game after finishing the tutorial segment.

Once you return to the Acer Program hub after completing the tutorial segment, you'll have to go to the right. This will take you through a stream into a dark room. Stand in the glowing platform in the center and interact with it to get the list of available Prototypes for you to unlock.

Since you only have one Prototype Analyzer at this point of the story, you'll have to think carefully about which character you want to unlock.

Before starting a run, you'll always return to this room to choose your character. If you've got a Prototype Analyzer in your inventory, you'll be able to start the run with a new character after unlocking it.

How To Get Prototype Analyzers in BlazBlue Entropy Effect

Unlocking new characters requires you to have at least one Prototype Analyzer in BlazBlue Entropy Effect. There are two main ways to get Prototype Analyzers in the game.

The simplest method is to simply play through the game and complete the Training Objectives. You'll often get Prototype Analyzers as rewards for completing the objective. You don't need to defeat the final boss to get it. As long as you clear the objective, you'll get your rewards at the end of your run.

To unlock Icey and Rachel, you'll need the relevant DLC in your account.

The second method comes a bit later in the game after you progress through a couple of training missions. Eventually, you'll reach the surface and talk to Skyseyes in person. Eventually, you'll get a Training Mission called Power of Mind Crystal. Before you head out, the NPC, CL-1, will intercept you and give you access to a new shop.

6 Video Game NPCs That Stole The Show

Across some truly exciting games, players have found the best NPCs that stole the show of their own adventure.

This NPC will have Fragmented Crystals and Prototype Analyzers that you can buy in exchange for AP. However, we don't recommend spending AP on buying Prototype Analyzers unless you absolutely have to. These are important for upgrading other upgrades to make your runs easier.

Each Prototype Analyzer will cost you 5000 AP.

The ability to choose different characters with completely different skill sets is what makes BlazBlue Entropy Effect such a unique roguelike experience. Hopefully, this guide will help you get one step closer to unlocking them all.
