Aizen himself is not a huge fan of this protagonist, since he stood in the way of him achieving perfection with the Hogyoku fusion. After being treated disrespectfully, the man he'd grown to hate by the end of their fight used Mugetsu to end Aizen's historic run as Bleach's antagonist.

He hated Ichigo so much that he didn't shy away from killing the protagonist outright by blowing a hole in his chest. However, plot armor saved Ichigo and allowed him to defeat Ulquiorra in a resounding fashion, with the villain understanding the importance of having a heart by seeing Orihime's actions in his last moments.
