Bleach is one of the biggest anime franchises in the world. It's part of the Big 3 of Shonen Jump along with One Piece and Naruto. For years, Bleach went neck and neck with some of the most famous manga series, and it was during this time that it amassed a massive fan following. Unfortunately, Bleach's momentum came to a screeching halt after the manga's conclusion. The anime adaptation's quality also tapered off. Everything pointed to a sad end for the series, but in the last few years, Bleach has undergone a renaissance.

Bleach Is Officially Making A Comeback

At the Jump Festa 2026, it was confirmed that Bleach will be returning with a new novel called Don't Bleach My Fist. The novel will be written by Ryohgo Narita, the writer behind Baccano! And Durarara!!. So, it's safe to say that he knows a thing or two about writing. Unfortunately, not a lot of information was shared during the stage event, except for the novel's title and writer.
However, it would be remiss not to mention that a picture of what seems to be the novel's cover was shared, and it looks like Don't Bleach My Fist will be putting Ichigo and the rest of the cast in a high school setting. So, it will put a twist on the fantasy manga. Presently, it is unclear when the novel will be released, but late 2026 would be a safe bet, especially when the final cour of the Thousand Year Blood War Arc is released.
Bleach Also Announced A New Anime
In addition to the novel, fans can also look forward to an anime called Bleach 'The Stories.' The new anime will be diving into the past of Bleach, right back to the very beginning. It will be split into five parts, and each will be released in a specific month.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc Cour 4 Will Release In July 2026
Aside from the newly announced projects, Bleach fans should look forward to the final cour of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, which will start airing in July 2026.
The final cour will bring an end to the fight between Ichigo and the final villain of the series. Of course, the side characters will also be involved in the final stretch of episodes, but in more limited roles.
