6 Bleach: Rebirth of Souls Tips For Beginners
Struggling in Bleach Rebirth of Souls or only just starting out? Here are a few helpful tips that beginners should know.
The game eases players into it, but if you're not familiar with the mechanics, or are playing on PC, it can be a little difficult to execute certain commands and combat moves. This is especially true with defensive moves and combos, which can sometimes become easier when playing with a controller. This guide will be discussing how to effectively parry attacks in BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls — and what it means when you do manage to get one through.
How To Parry In Bleach: Rebirth Of Souls
BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls has three main combat moves for players to alternate from. They range from attacking, to breaking, and then guarding. Attacking is pretty self-explanatory, and the outcome of the fight depends on the combos you use. Using a 'Breaker' in the game roughly translates to breaking your opponent's 'Guard.' When an opponent guards, that means they will be in a defensive stance. The same applies to your character as well, should you opt to guard. Your opponent will be on guard when they raise their zanpakuto or their arms in a defensive position. This position can happen in an instant or slowly, depending on the character and how the fight unravels.
The trick here is to skillfully maneuver a Breaker Parry to parry your opponents and knock them back. This can work as a counterattack as well, but there are other moves that specifically pertain to that. Which is why this specific move is considered a 'breaker parry.' The reason why is that when your opponent uses a breaker, and you also counteract with a breaker, the two moves cancel each other out and result in knocking both characters back.
To be frank, achieving this is not as easy since you need to time when your opponent decides to go for a breaker, especially when shifting from defensive to offensive. But, you can also parry enemies if you manage to attack at the same time as they are. This would technically work as a parry and a counterattack as well. So, just make sure to attack at the right time so that they cancel each other out.
Another method would be through keeping an eye on your reverse gauge and using a flash step to relocate behind the enemy when it's at one bar. This flash step is called Hoho, and if you move at the right time before the enemy lands an attack, there will be a short cinematic scene of the counterattack. The mechanics of the parry and counterattack work the same, but if the breaker parry isn't easy to achieve, it is recommended to just stick to counterattacking or simple breakers to block any incoming attacks.
