In anticipation of the premiere of the third cours of the climactic conclusion to the BLEACH anime, the opening sequence and theme song were released to YouTube on Friday, the day before the scheduled day the first episode of Part 3 is set to drop. The Upcoming Third Cours is Subtitled "The Conflict"
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – The Conflict follows from Part 2 – The Separation, which saw Uryu's defection to the right-hand of Yhwach, primed to be the successor of the Quincy King. The second part concluded with the battle between the Zero Squad and Yhwach's strongest soldiers in a contrived Hooden, with Zero Squad leader Ichibe Hyosube taking on Yhwach in a riveting battle that is set to continue in the second part. Some of the elements that have been set up in the first part of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc will come into play in Part 3, and judging from the various trailers released over the course of the past year, 13th Squad Captain Jūshirō Ukitake will finally get some screen time in a series of events sure to shock fans seeing this part of the story for the first time.
This is going to be the most important part of the arc yet, and the approach to the atmosphere for this next part has been to emphasize the darkness of this particular point in the narrative; a pivot back to the atmosphere that early BLEACH had with major strides forward taken in direction and visuals. The opening sequence gives us a taste of what Studio Pierrot has been working on, and it looks impeccable. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 might just follow in its predecessor's footsteps, improving on the previous part's foundations and responding to the incredible stakes faced by Ichigo and Soul Society this time round. Like the last part, the opening theme communicates the thematic content of the upcoming part and reflects the noir feel emphasized for Part 3 by using juxtaposing predominantly black and white visuals with minimal splashes of colour.
