Summary

  • Let Me Solo Her became a legendary player in Elden Ring by single-handedly taking on tough bosses to help others.
  • LetMeSoloThem followed suit in Elden Ring, inspiring other players to assist with unique looks.
  • Bloodborne may lack such recognizable figures like Let Me Solo Her, but players can emulate their style with specific armor.

Summoning is an important feature in all of FromSoftware’s Soulslikes, from Bloodborne’s Beckoning Bell to Elden Ring’s summoning signs. This feature gives players the ability to team up with others around the world to take on a game’s fiercest foes, but no summoned player has become quite as well-known as Let Me Solo Her. Dual katanas in hand, this player has joined thousands in the community on their journey, single-handedly facing Elden Ring’s toughest bosses to help players progress. However, there has not been a prominent counterpart for them in Bloodborne.

Let Me Solo Her’s triumphs against Malenia have inspired others to lend a hand in other boss fights. LetMeSoloThem followed in Let Me Solo Her’s footsteps, donning the same Jar Helm as their inspiration to defeat Radagon and Elden Beast, so other players don’t need to. These heroes have become pillars of the Elden Ring community, motivating others to offer assistance with similar jarring looks. This brings into question what a player like Let Me Solo Her could have looked like in Bloodborne.

Let Me Solo Her’s Look Has Specific Characteristics

The Armor Needs To Match Their Spirit

Let Me Solo Her has a very specific appearance. Their immense skill in the game is juxtaposed by their comical choice of armor – that being no armor at all, other than a jar on their head. While ridiculous at first, it has become immediately recognizable, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 having a Let Me Solo Her easter egg. This type of look has become a symbol of hope for struggling players and a warning to those who face them.

For Bloodborne players wanting to capture the essence of Let Me Solo Her while still standing out, there is plenty of armor available that can fulfill this. One of the game’s complete sets is the Common Yharnam set, which, as the name implies, makes the character look more like a typical resident of Yharnam. This lack of distinctiveness may be what would make this type of player noteworthy, avoiding the many remarkable Bloodborne armor sets in favor of something unexpected for The Hunter.

From Yharnam to Jarnam

A more authentic Let Me Solo Her look would stay true to what made their appearance so notorious in the first place. A Bloodborne version of this player would likely strip themselves of armor, standing proud with only a unique headpiece. More specifically, the helmet would cover the character’s facial features completely, exposing the rest of their body but not the identity underneath. An accurate Let Me Solo Her build in Bloodborne should consider maintaining this “Jarnished” look when taking on the beasts of Yharnam.

An authentic headpiece would need to stay true to the iconic look of the Jar Helm. Bloodborne is no stranger to bizarre heads, from the Kos Parasite weapon, which transforms The Hunter into Kin, to the Enlarged Head headpiece from The Old Hunters DLC. There are plenty of options to choose from, but some of these are more reminiscent of Let Me Solo Her than others.

The Mensis Cage head armor and Master’s Iron Helm are both great contenders, but neither fully conceal the player’s appearance as well as the Jar from Elden Ring. The armor piece that may be most fitting then is the Gold Ardeo helmet, which requires the Wheel Hunter Badge before it can be purchased. This shiny yet well-worn headpiece may be the closest The Hunter could get to looking like the legendary Elden Ring player. What may be most fitting, though, is that the Gold Ardeo belongs to the Executioner set of armor, a fitting title for any boss slayer.

Bloodborne Alternatives To Let Me Solo Her’s Weapons

To keep with the appearance of Let Me Solo Her, it is likely that their Bloodborne equivalent would want to use weapons that act in the same way as katanas. The Rakuyo from The Old Hunters fits this quite well, being a longer saber and, when transformed, is dual wielded along with a dagger. This could suit the Let Me Solo Her playstyle, but a weapon from the base game may work better: the Chikage. Not only is it one of the best weapons in the game, but its transformation imbues the blade with blood, making it look very similar to the Rivers of Blood, Let Me Solo Her’s left-handed weapon of choice.

Which Boss Would Let Me Solo Her Challenge?

A Bloodborne-equivalent to Let Me Solo Her needs a boss to solo. In Elden Ring, it was Malenia, who many fans of the game agree was the most difficult boss in the game prior to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. It is likely that their Bloodborne counterpart would seek a similar challenge. In this case, Orphan of Kos would almost definitely be their target. Not only is the boss considered to be the toughest Bloodborne has to offer, but it is thought by some fans to be the hardest boss of all the Soulsborne games. A player like Let Me Solo Her would’ve carried players over the finish line so they could finally see the end of The Old Hunters.

As much as the community may remember Let Me Solo Her for their unique appearance and fitting name, what set them apart from other player summons was their purpose. The legacy of this player persisted because of the assistance they gave the community and how they inspired others to do the same. For Bloodborne to have had a figure like Let Me Solo Her or LetMeSoloThem, they would have to be willing to devote their time to helping thousands of players finally reach the credits of the game. The clothes they choose to wear, or lack thereof, would be supplementary to the good they do.
