Bloodborne has long been regarded as one of the most masterful examples of the Soulslike genre, with many fans believing the Lovecraftian action RPG equaled or even surpassed all subsequent FromSoftware projects. However, its status as a PlayStation exclusive also meant its reach was limited compared to other multi-platform titles, much to the regret of its fans. Furthermore, a reliable insider additionally reported both FromSoftware and Sony currently had no plans to port Bloodborne to PC, though director Hidetaka Miyazaki also notably claimed he was not opposed to the idea.
But while an official port might not be on the table anytime in the near future, PC players might soon have the chance to cleanse the Victorian-style streets of Yharnam through the use of an unofficial emulator. The developers for ShadPS4, which is one of the relatively new PlayStation 4 emulators available online, posted a promising clip of Bloodborne running on PC. Bloodborne fans are likely happy with the increasing capability of unofficial emulators, but there are still concerns that Sony might clamp down on the release of a third-party program that potentially infringes on its copyrighted IPs. The legality of unofficial emulators has additionally long been an issue.
