There are a lot of secrets for players to uncover and puzzles to solve in Blue Prince, including the process of figuring out the time and date. Though the current Day is displayed at the start of every run, this doesn't display the actual date, it's the number of attempts you've made. Players aren't told what time it is, either – at least, not in an obvious way.
Blue Prince: How To Get Gems

Holly Estate, and find clocks that display the current time of the day. How To Check The Time In Blue Prince
To check what time it is, Blue Prince players can do one of two things: look at the clock tower outside of the Mt. Holly Estate, or draft a room with a clock.
- Walk outside to the bottom of the staircase and then turn around to look at the Estate. You will see a large clock tower on the east side of the entrance that displays the current time.
- Many rooms you can draft have clocks on the walls, on desks, or as part of other decorative elements. Most Bedrooms, the Den, the Mail Room, the Study, the Office, and several other rooms contain clocks that players can reference within the manor.
Every day starts at 8:00 a.m., and time advances faster than it does in real life at a rate of about five minutes per hour. There are no digital clocks in Blue Prince, you must read the hour and minute hand on an analog clock to find out the time.

If you have initiated a time-sensitive event, like opening the Time Lock Safe, you must keep track of the time as you explore the Estate.
How To Check The Date In Blue Prince
To check the date, Blue Prince players must draft the Security room and enter the Security Terminal password to access the local network. On the menu that pops up after you log in to the network with the Terminal password, select 'Staff Services', then select the 'Staff Announcement' option.
Here, you will find a note from the staff of the Mt. Holly Estate. This note says that the staff knows no one else should have access to the network and that they are all rooting for Simon (the player character). The note is dated November 7. Indeed, this is the first day that Simon began his exploration of the Estate.
So, to find the current date, you must add your current Day count to November 7, then subtract by one (as Nov 7 was the first day of the expedition).
