This list of early game secrets in Blue Prince contains spoilers for many of the game's most important early discoveries and puzzles. If you want to discover all of the Blue Prince secrets for yourself, go no further!
1 A Secret Message In Security
Look Closely At The Note On The Desk
The Security room is one that you will likely encounter early in Blue Prince. It requires one Gem to draft, but you will be given two doors, a Terminal, and several memos to read. There is one note in particular players should look out for – the note on the main desk.
This note tells you that Blue Memos are true and Red Memos are false. Don't take this as gospel, though – return to the Security room once you have found a Magnifying Glass and take a closer look at the note.
2 The Terminal & Network Password
Use A Magnifying Glass On The Terminal Password Note
You can find a Terminal in several rooms in the Estate. The earliest that most players will find is in the Security room. If you attempt to Login to the network, you will be required to enter the password. You will find a note that has the Terminal password on a corkboard near the coffee table in several rooms, including the Security room.
The only problem is that the code has been scratched out.
Blue Prince: How To Open Locked Trunks
One of the many things you can encounter in Blue Prince are locked trunks, and here is how you can open them.
If you don't have a Magnifying Glass, you probably won't be able to make out the password just by looking at the note. Once you find a Magnifying Glass, return to Security and take a closer look at the scratched-out code to figure out the Terminal password.
3 A Cave Below The Fountain Outside
Light The Torches To Unlock A Secret Room
You aren't restricted to just the Estate in Blue Prince, there are actually quite a few outdoor areas players can explore. Leave the Estate via the front entrance, then look to the east (left) of the fountain to find a stairway that leads down.
This path leads to a pitch-black cave, but you can just about make out two torches on either side of the wall near a pile of crates.
To light up this area, you will need to find or craft a Burning Glass. This unique item can ignite fuses and light candles, including the torches in the secret cave. In the Workshop room, you must combine a metal detector and a magnifying glass to create a Burning Glass.
Return to this cave, light it up, and you will discover a secret blueprint that adds the Tunnel room to your deck.
4 Alzara, The Fortune Teller
A Cryptic Machine That Can See Your Future
In the Rumpus Room, you will meet Alzara, a fortune-telling robot that can be activated with one Gold Coin. If you insert a coin into the machine, you will be given a prophecy. These prophecies start slow, but the more times you draft the Rumpus Room to seek Alzara's premonitions, the more specific his cryptic prophecies become.
You can only activate Alzara one time each day, and the Rumpus Room requires one Gem to draft. It is classified as a Standard Rarity room, so you will be more likely to find it in your drafting options as you progress through the middle of the Estate.
5 The Apple Orchard & Eastern Gate
A Secret Area Locked With A Padlock Code
There are two locked areas players can find in the Grounds of the Mt. Holly Estate. To the east of the manor, you will find Simon's camp. Behind your campsite is an Apple Orchard, but there's a short white fence barring the way that's locked with a four-digit padlock code.
It's a good idea to unlock the Apple Orchard as fast as possible because it will grant a powerful Permanent Bonus that will carry across all future runs. To find the Apple Orchard gate code, Blue Prince players must unlock and power the Dark Room, then investigate a particular photo with the Magnifying Glass.
6 The Grounds/Outer Room & West Gate
A Secret Area Locked From The Other Side
On the other side of the Grounds, to the west of the manor entrance, you will find a tall white fence barring the way to the West Path and a special Outer Room. Unlike the Apple Orchard fence, the West Gate is not unlocked with a code. The West Gate can only be unlocked if you reach the other side.
To unlock the West Gate, you must draft both the Garage and the Utility Room, power up the Garage with the Breaker Box in the Utility Room, then open the Garage Door. The Garage can only be drafted on the West Perimeter of the Estate.
Blue Prince: How To Solve The Parlor Game (Three Boxes Puzzle)
To solve the Parlor Game puzzle, Blue Prince players must carefully assess the truth of the statements on each of the three boxes.
Follow the path leading outside, cross a wooden plank bridge, and turn left at the fork to unlock the West Gate. This will let you permanently access the West Path area, which connects to the secret Outer Room.
7 The Time Lock Safe
Found In A Secret Outer Room Beyond The West Gate
Once you have unlocked the Outer Room, Blue Prince offers up a selection of unique Grounds rooms to draft in this location. Follow the West Path from the West Gate to find the Outer Room entrance nestled in the hillside.
Among the many options to draft here you may draw a Shelter. Place the Shelter, then go down the stairs to find a Terminal and a Time Lock Safe.
This Blue Prince safe is unique as you do not need a code to open the Time Lock Safe. Instead, you must determine the time and date, input a time at least one hour ahead of the current time, then wait (or return) after enough in-game time has elapsed.
The Shelter does not appear in any drafting pools in the house or other locations, it will only show up in the Outer Room beyond the West Gate.
- To find out the current date, look closely at a staff note in the Security Terminal to find the first day Simon began to explore the Mt. Holly Estate.
- Reference the Clocks around the manor to find out the current time, like the clock tower above the manor's entrance.
8 The Portrait In The Drawing Room
Find The Difference Between The Photo & The Room
One secret that many players may skip right past is in the Drawing Room, a three-door room filled with pictures that houses a portrait of Baron Sinclair, the previous owner of the Mt. Holly Estate, and the man who set all these puzzles for Simon.
This portrait is special, though – take a closer look at the background of the portrait, where the scene being portrayed is located in the room, and look for the differences between the portrait and the space around you.
If you are able to figure out the difference, interact with the object in real life, and you will reveal a secret safe. This is one of many safes in Blue Prince, but unlike the Shelter's Time Lock safe, you will have to engage in a bit of detective work to determine what the Drawing Room safe code is.
