The Foundation Tile in Blue Prince

The Foundation tile is a unique tile in Blue Prince in that - once placed - it is locked in place forever. It cannot be moved or changed once you have placed it, unless you start a new game. This tile is a three-door tile that is always filled with dig spots. The location where a fourth door would be instead has an elevator. To get to the Basement, you will need to lower the elevator so you can use it. Like many of the other puzzles in Blue Prince, the answer will not be in the same tile as the elevator you are trying to move.

Moving the Elevator to the Basement of Blue Prince

In order to move the elevator, you need to locate the Foundation switch in this difficult puzzle game. This switch will be located in any room that has a door on the other side of the wall from the elevator. When you interact with it, it will lower the elevator so you can hop onto it and ride down to the basement.

Where to Get the Basement Key

After you ride the elevator down, you won't be able to do anything in the basement until you get the Basement Key. Lucky for you, the Basement Key is in a fixed location and is easy to find, even if it's hard to actually get there. You need to open one of the three doors that lead into the Antechamber, which is the fixed tile in the middle of the top of the house that never moves; unfortunately, you can't unlock it with normal Blue Prince keys.

You will need to find the levers hidden in the Secret Garden and other secret Blue Prince locations, pull them, and then head back into the Antechamber. After you enter, a pillar will appear in the middle of the room; the Basement Key will be inside.
