One of the usable tools you can get in Blue Prince to guide you is something called Burning Glass. This odd little contraption is something you need to make by combining things together, and you might be wondering all the places you can use it.

What is Burning Glass in Blue Prince?

Burning Glass is an item you can craft in Blue Prince in the Workroom. You need both the Magnifying Glass and the Metal Detector. Mix them together on the workbench, and then Burning Glass will show up on it. Pick it up, and you'll see that it says it "can ignite certain surfaces and light candles." If you are wondering where this item can be used, there is a list below.

Where Can You Use the Burning Glass in Blue Prince?

There are plenty of places you can use the Burning Glass around the manor. This list is everything currently known about how to use this item; there may be more hidden that haven't been found yet.

In the Tunnel: If you walk out of the manor and go down the stairs to the left of the Fountain, you will find the four blue flame pillars on a platform below (assuming you've lit them). If you turn around from that platform, you will see an open tunnel in the rock face (or sealed, if you haven't yet opened it). Inside are two unlit torches; if you light these, you will find another floorplan to add to your drafting pool.
Lighting Candles: There are three rooms in Blue Prince you can light candles to reveal hidden secrets.
1. In the underground parts of Blue Prince, there is a circle of candles off of one of the tunnels near the Tomb entrance and the mine cart.
2. You can use the Burning Glass to light the candles inside the Chapel.
3. Light the other candles in the Reservoir Room.
4. Candles in the crate tunnel.
5. Try using it on the Sundial in the Orchard.
Defrost the Freezer: You can use the Burning Glass to defrost the Freezer, giving you access to all the frozen Blue Prince gems, keys, and other objects.
Blow up the Trading Post: If you were curious what the TNT inside the Trading Post was for, you should try to light it with the Burning Glass.
