What is the Terminal Password in Blue Prince?

While the layout and location of certain items will vary between each attempt to find Room 46 in Blue Prince, there are some things that stay the same every time in this puzzle game. The Pantry will always have a fruit and four gold and the Nook always has a key. This also includes objects that can be interacted with as well like the computer in Security, the Office, the Laboratory, and the Shelter. While all of these computers have their own unique functions, there are some shared capabilities that can only be accessed by logging into the employee network, but to do that you will need to find a password.

Where to Find the Password for the Terminal in Blue Prince

In order to find the password for the terminal, there are two things you will need to do. First, look for the Commissary where you can purchase items with Gold. On the board in this room, you see see a Staff Notice talking about the terminals. At the bottom is a section that says "Terminal Password", but you are unable to read it as it is scribbled out. That is the second part of finding the password, you need to locate a Magnifying Glass which can occasionally be purchased at the Commissary or found at random in another room.

When you use the Magnifying Glass to zoom in on the scribbled-out text, you will see that the password for the terminal is SWANSONG. The password doesn't change, so once you know it you will be able to access the network on any terminal you find. Select the option to log into the network and after a few seconds of dial-up noises, you will be connected.

What Can You Do With the Network?

The majority of the functions of the network aren't particularly helpful, but they do give you access to the Glossary of Terms which tracks all the in-game terms for mechanics. You can also gain remote access to any terminal you've found in a run so far. If you are in the Office, logging in to the network gives you access to e-mails that give you hints on the VAC puzzle in the Utility Closet.

Finally, you can also use the network to make a special order for an item at the Commissary. After enough days have passed, that selected item will be guaranteed to be available for purchase, effectively allowing you to choose an item that will be available in a future run.
