Borderlands 3 might have featured an underwhelming storyline with an annoying antagonist duo in the form of the Calypso twins, but the same can hardly be said about its expansion packs. The post-release DLC packs offer some of the best stories as well as loot.
The legendary Light Show pistol, for example, has one of the highest damage outputs in BL3. It is also highly ammo efficient, eating chunks of armored enemies with just a single bullet. The Light Show comes in all elements, so you can have different variants for all types of enemies. If you love packing Vladof pistols, here is how to get your hands on the best of the lot, the Light Show, in Borderlands 3.
Borderlands 3: How to Recover Corrupted Character Saves
Left with a corrupted save file after a power-cut? Worry not. Here's how to recover your character in Borderlands 3.
How to Get the Light Show in Borderlands 3
The legendary Light Show pistol is exclusive to Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, the third expansion pack to be released for Borderlands 3. If you have the DLC installed, your vault hunter has a small chance of dropping the Light Show from any suitable loot source such as enemies, bosses, chests, vending machines, etc.
With thousands of weapons in the loot pool, remember to equip items that temporarily increase your legendary drop chances. These might not be as good for your build as other items, but are necessary for legendary farming runs in BL3.
Thankfully, one dedicated loot source in the Bounty of Blood DLC has an increased chance to drop the Light Show pistol in Borderlands 3. Lasodactyl is an optional mini-boss found in the Obsidian Forest, a new location on Ghena that is only accessible with the Bounty of Blood DLC. Fast-travel to the Crone's Contentment area in the middle of the map and make your way south to an isolated cavern as shown in the image below.
Lasodactyl has a 33 percent increased chance of dropping the Light Show pistol. The massive scourge boss is also part of Ezra's Skin to Win questline, so you have to beat Lasodactyl at least once for its precious hide. If the Light Show drops on your first attempt, you are in luck. If not, keep farming Lasodactyl a few times until the legendary pistol finally drops. This should not be a time-consuming grind considering the 33-percent drop chance.
Zane is one of the best operatives to farm Lasodactyl. His clone and drone can help mitigate damage and activate your kill skills for an insane amount of damage before Lasodactyl begins to be a bit overwhelming on higher Mayhem runs. This is also fitting because the Light Show pistol is a highly recommended weapon for an overpowered Zane build in BL3.
