Many Borderlands 3 players use the game's Reddit to give feedback to the developers. Sometimes this feedback comes in the form of constructive criticism, like what should be changed to make the game an even better experience. Other times this feedback is a bit stranger, with one Reddit user making a rather odd request of Borderlands 3 studio Gearbox Software.

Reddit user DelusionPhantom made a post requesting the ability for Vault Hunter Zane to slap his clone on the butt. The argument he makes is that FL4K is able to pet their pets, so Zane should be able to slap his clone's butt. It's quite likely that DelusionPhantom is just joking, but their request prompted a response from a Gearbox Software developer regardless.

A Gearbox Software developer responded to DelusionPhantom's odd request. "Look. We can't make any promises. But we'll look into it," they said. It's possible that this developer is just joking as well, but considering the type of humor that's found in Borderlands 3, it wouldn't be all that surprising to see such a feature added to the looter-shooter at some point in a future update.

The Borderlands 3 community seems to agree that such a feature would be good for the game, however. Right now, the post has over 2,600 upvotes and well over 100 comments. Perhaps Gearbox Software will see this support for the idea and genuinely implement it, though to be fair, it is busy developing more substantial content for the game. In fact, it just wrapped up yet another seasonal event in the form of the Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day event.

Looking ahead, there's even bigger DLC coming to Borderlands 3Borderlands 3 DLC 2 is on the horizon, available for purchase standalone or available through the season pass. Borderlands 3 DLC 2 details are unavailable at the time of this writing, but more information will come at PAX East on February 27.

The first Borderlands 3 DLC added a brand new area for players to explore, new characters to meet, new weapons, and much more. Borderlands 3 DLC 2 is likely to offer just as much if not more new content, so if Gearbox does decide to add this weird Zane feature to the game, fans shouldn't count on seeing it any time soon.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
