Ordnance is a new addition to Borderlands 4, bringing forth a new skill for all players that will unleash even deeper layers of buildcrafting and mayhem. As players jump into Kairos and fight against the Rippers and Order alike, it's going to be essential to know everything on offer, including that of Ordnance weapons. These powerhouses can make every boss fight a breeze, so long as players know what they are, the types of Ordnance players can find, and why they're worth investing in.
All Ordnance Weapon Types in Borderlands 4
Ordnance is split into two categories: Grenades and Heavy Weapons. Below, we've compiled the Ordnance weapons that players can come across in their own worlds:

|

Heavy Weapon |
Hold the trigger to see a crackling beam stick to enemies for ticking damage. |
|

|
Throwing Knife |
Grenade |
Throw to see this projectile stab enemies, where aiming for heads and other critical hit spots will provide more damage. |
What Are Ordnance Weapons?
Ordnance weapons are separate from the primary 4 weapons in your main slots, and instead, have their own dedicated slot. Players can activate their Ordnance weapon with R1/RB/G, which will equip them with the Ordnance weapon. These weapons have a cooldown upon use, which can range from a few seconds to well over 45 seconds, depending on the type of weapon equipped and how much ammo was used. The Ordnance slot is reserved for Grenades and Heavy Weapons, and cannot be fired during Fight for Your Life. However, Ordnance weapons deal immense damage, can come with Firmware (after Level 25), and even have dedicated Skills to invest into for each Vault Hunter to boost their power.
