The fate of Kairos lies in the hands of the Vault Hunters in Borderlands 4, but not every quest in the game has the same stakes. While the main story might be more serious than in the previous game, its side quests are still as silly as ever.
Electroshock Therapy is one of the many side quests players can do early on in Borderlands 4, and it's a short and simple mission that's mainly there to help players level up a bit more quickly. Even so, this quest has one part that's particularly problematic, and if you're having trouble with that, here's a guide to help you out.

Finding Professor Ambreleigh
Science Never Sleeps
To start the Electroshock Therapy quest in Borderlands 4, you'll need to speak with Professor Ambreleigh, a semi-intelligent Ripper who can still a somewhat sensible conversation. You can find her just east of the Someday Rise Safehouse. She'll tell you that she's working on a potential cure for Ripper psychosis, but she needs your help to gather the stuff she needs in order to make her machine work, so you lock and load and get your Digirunner ready for a few quick trips through the neighborhood..
Where to Find Ordonite and Eridium Samples for Electroshock Therapy
Go, Vault Hunter, Fetch!
This is where this quest gets a little tricky. Here, you need to collect an Ordonite and Eridium sample from two different points of interest near the professor's shack.
Ordonite Sample Location
You can find the Ordonite sample in the Order compound right across the street from Ambreleigh's garage. Blast all the Order guys inside, then look for a pair of silos with yellow pipes connected to them. The sample is on some crates between the yellow pipes.
Eridium Sample Location
Meanwhile, the Eridium sample is a little farther away. Head to the marked destination on your map, then fight the Rippers in the area. Once the place is clear, look for a big Eridium crystal growing on top of a machine near some crop rows. You may have to shoot the crystal in order to get the sample. No, this sample does not count toward your overall Eridium count.
Assembling the Machine
Therapy Time
Go back to the professor and attach the Ordenite and Eridium samples to her machine. Before you start it up, Ambreleigh will stop you, saying that there's still a missing piece. You'll need to get a Meathead's head to complete the machine, and thankfully, one will spawn near the bar outside Ambreleigh's house.
Get out there and smoke the Meathead. Then, take its head back to the professor and her machine. The head will start yapping once you hook it up, and to get the machine all readied up, you'll need to smack what's left of the Meathead with a melee attack. Follow Ambreleigh's instructions and watch as her groundbreaking invention does its magic at the poor sap strapped onto it.
