A crossover between Borderlands 4 and PGA Tour 2K25 has just been officially confirmed, with the golf game's next season seemingly revolving around the looter shooter franchise. The Borderlands series has both hosted and participated in its fair share of crossovers, but this latest one might be its most surprising yet.
Though it doesn't seem like a franchise necessarily suited to big and bold crossovers, PGA Tour has actually hosted a few gaming collaborations over the years. PGA Tour 10 featured Dead Space's Isaac Clarke as an unlockable outfit, and Rory McIlroy PGA Tour featured skins based on Battlefield 4 and an entire course that took place on its 'Parcel Storm' map.
Borderlands 4 Is Crossing Over With PGA Tour 2K25
Announced via the golf game's official X account, PGA Tour 2K25's upcoming fourth season will feature a Borderlands 4 crossover. Titled 'Mayhem on the Greens,' PGA Tour 2K25 Season 4 is set to begin on Wednesday, October 29.
2K – the publisher of both Borderlands and PGA Tour – hasn't officially confirmed what this Mayhem on the Greens Season will include, but the image attached to the X post might hold some teases. It seems likely that the Borderlands Psycho outfit worn by the golfer in the announcement post will be heading to PGA Tour 2K25 next season, likely alongside the pictured Sci-Fi-esque golf club. The background of the announcement image could also potentially be teasing a new course inspired by Borderlands 4's Kairos.
For those who might not be familiar with what's usually included in PGA Tour 2K25's seasonal content drops, Season 3 (which released back in August) featured the following:
- A new Clubhouse Pass featuring new cosmetics and a free shot type
- The ability to evolve equipment to Diamond rank
- New cosmetic items in the PGA Tour Superstore inspired by brands like Adidas and Breezy
- New quests and Ranked Tour events
PGA Tour 2K25 Season 2 was a little meatier in terms of new content, however. Along with the new cosmetics and challenges, Season 2 introduced The Old Course at St Andrews Links, an all-new golf course modeled after the legendary Scottish green.
Again, the content of PGA Tour 2K25's Borderlands 4 crossover hasn't been officially confirmed yet. But based on last season's offerings, it will probably include a Clubhouse Pass that features both paid and free cosmetics based on Borderlands, and some challenges inspired by the series at the very least.
