Borderlands 4 has no shortage of bosses with unique mechanics, which also happen to be one of the best sources of loot. Bunkers are mini-dungeons that are hidden throughout Kairos, and one of them holds the boss Fractis. The boss fight is relatively simple, which makes it one of the best bosses to farm loot and legendaries. Let's check out how to find Fractis and what legendary loot it drops in BL4.
How to Drop Items in Borderlands 4
Players must manage their inventory and drop useless items and weapons to make space for better ones, here's how to do it on PC and consoles.
Fractis Boss Location in Borderlands 4
Players can find Fractis inside The Crawlcroft Order Bunker, located in Grindstone of the Worthy area of Carcadia Burn region of Borderlands 4. The entrance to the bunker can be found inside a cave that has an entrance inside a Timekeeper's army base. So, reach the Echo Log's location marked on the map above and enter the base.
Once players reach the area, head inside the enemy base installation, and look for the cave opening to the left. Once you've found it, ignore the enemies and just quickly jump down to discover the Crawlcroft Order Bunker.
The entrance is sealed with shield plating, similar to what Idolator Sol uses to shield himself from attacks. So, you'll need to grab a Locust container near the starting area of the cave and throw it at the bunker entrance to open the door up.
After entering the bunker, keep following the hallways till you enter an open area with a lot of enemies. You can completely ignore the enemies and make a run for the partially open doors across the hallway.
The doors will lead to a winding hallway, which will lead players into a small nerve center for the Timekeeper's forces. Head left into a corridor lit by red lights.
Head down the corridor and go under the stack of boxes to enter an enclosed room. Grapple to the top and keep following the hallways until you finally arrive in a room with vending machines. Just past this room, you'll enter Fractis' boss arena and start the encounter.
How to Beat Fractis Boss & All Legendary Drops in Borderlands 4
Once the Fractis boss encounter starts in Borderlands 4, it will cover its floating real body with golden armor (blue HP bar), which will be hard to penetrate with regular shots. You'll need to use weapons with shock attributes to melt through the golden armor. Once the armor is down, you can use incendiary weapons to quickly damage the real body of Fractis (red HP bar).
Players must maintain a safe distance from Fractis' attacks, and will need to constantly be on the move when it launches energy projectiles. After you get rid of the golden armor from the boss, a small drone will try to repair it and restore Fractis' blue HP bar. You'll need to destroy that drone to avoid prolonging the fight.
Some enemies will also spawn in the arena, but they'll be easier to deal with if you're maintaining some distance from Fractis. Once the Fractis is defeated, there's a chance it'll drop one of the following legendary loot in Borderlands 4.
|
Chuck (Assault Rifle) |
Pitcher: A Tediore-manufactured assault rifle that you can throw at enemies, as it doesn't shoot bullets. Each throw costs 10 rounds of magazine. |
|---|---|
|
UAV (Throwable/Grenade) |
Death from Above: After throwing the grenade at a location, it'll call down missiles from the sky after a short delay. Yes, it also works indoors. |
|
Protean Cell (Shield) |
Direct Current: Ground Slam to toggle this effect. While enabled, it drains Shield over time to grant +40% Bonus Shock Damage, and Damage Taken passes through the Shield. |
