Borderlands 4 features a powerful arsenal of weapons that break the laws of physics, melt through enemies, and also serve as a reference to other games in the genre. The Looming Hellwalker double-barrel shotgun is one of those weapons that makes a return from Borderlands 3, and is a clear reference to the Doomslayer's iconic shotty. It can one-shot almost all the enemies in the game, and this guide will help you get this shotgun quickly.
Borderlands 4: Null and Void Side Quest Walkthrough
The Null and Void side mission in Borderlands 4 sends players on a search to locate the missing pilot for the Outbounders, called Conway.
How to Get the Hellwalker Shotgun in Borderlands 4
Players can get the legendary Hellwalker Double-Barrel shotgun from the Immortal Boneface boss in the Old Scrape Ripper Drill Site in Borderlands 4. The Ripper Drill Site can be found at the start of the Terminus Range.
The area is heavily infested with Rippers and gun turrets at the start. Once you clear the starting area, you'll enter the main boss arena. The boss arena has ton of Ripper enemies, including the Queen's Suicide Psycho, who'll chase you down with an armed explosive.
After mowing down the minor Ripper mobs in the area, The Immortal Boneface boss will come out of the dark entrance from the middle of the arena. The main boss is the person sitting on the mech called Saddleback. However, you won't be able to defeat them unless you take down the mech first.
Once you defeat the mech, the boss's name will change to Not-So-Immortal Bonehead. This will signal that you can finally beat the boss. So, proceed to take them down, and there's a high chance (RNG) that the legendary Hellwalker Shotgun will drop for you in Borderlands 4.
In case the Hellwalker does not drop from the boss the first time, feel free to reset the boss fight using Moxxi's Encore machine. The machine will be right outside the main arena, after you complete the Old Crap Ripper Drill Site at least once.
The perk Sootheslayer is a clear nod to the Doomslayer from the Doom franchise.
The Hellwalker is a Jakobs double-barreled shotgun that fires pellets in a pentagram formation, devastating the enemies that are hit by it. On hitting critical hits, the shotgun pellets will also ricochet off enemies to hit others in the vicinity. Once you level up to the max, it's recommended to try and farm for Hellwalker again to get the most powerful version of the weapon.
