A new Borderlands 4 mod has released that increases the number of inventory and bank slots. This mod is a great companion for any Borderlands 4 player who loves farming loot but hates to leave behind valuable items.
The Borderlands series isn't exactly known for its modding community. Borderlands 3 had its share of mods that were worth checking out, but they were released over six years, so players shouldn't expect the same immediately in the newest entry. A lack of dedicated modding tools undoubtedly makes this a little more difficult for creative modders, and it's a credit to their talent and dedication that any exist at all. Hopefully, the coming months result in some exciting Borderlands 4 mods, and fans have already made a good start.

New Borderlands 4 Mod Massively Increases Backpack Size
Over on Nexus Mods, a new Borderlands 4 mod has been released named Big Backpacks. As the name implies, it increases Borderlands 4 backpack and bank space massively, with different settings available. At their biggest, players are able to increase their backpack size to 999, making it an enormous upgrade on the base game. According to the creator Caites on Nexus Mods, the 999-item inventory version is still experimental and should be used with caution, but lower versions are also available that are more stable.
Best of all, Caites claims that Big Backpacks should be compatible with any other mod, and doesn't break achievements. It allegedly works in Borderlands 4's co-op multiplayer, too, making it perfect for farming loot with friends. Those PC players now in the endgame of relentlessly farming loot to get the best weapons and equipment have a great option here - and yes, SKU upgrades still work as normal.
At the time of writing, there are a total of 66 Borderlands 4 mods on Nexus Mods, a showing of just how small the modding community is at the moment. That said, there have already been some valuable contributions, including a few Borderlands 4 mods that help the game's struggling performance on PC.
