Once players make it to the Fades District, they can head north to the Lakeside Properties, where they will meet the ever-worrisome and fragile optimism of Beth in Borderlands 4. This citizen in the slums wants to help get Locust Gas cannisters flowing so she can access her lab. Yet, some enemies might prove tough, and the way forward might not exactly be the most clear. As such, we've compiled a step-by-step guide to ensure you can complete One Gassy Issue in Borderlands 4 with ease.
How to Find and Enter the Sorting Station in One Gassy Issue
Locust Sorting Station Location
Step one of the quest involves venturing south of the Lakeside Properties, where players will eventually reach the Locust Production Facility. Upon activating the button for the elevator, they will see that the elevator is jammed. To fix the elevator and access the Sorting Station, approach the elevator and yank the gear with your grapple hook, and then yank yourself up the elevator with the second grapple hook node. Once inside, the door will be locked, so look to the east side of the room to find a vent on the wall that players can yank open and jump into.

How to Turn On Locust Gas in Dominion City
After clearing out the facility of enemies, players will be tasked with connecting the Locust gas engines located on the upper floor. To do this, players simply need to use the hanging box that's found on the right to jump across and pull the lever. Players can then use their grapple hook on the box to yank it to the left of the room, where they can repeat the process and pull the other lever, and then activate the terminal, to get the Locust Gas flowing.

How to Destroy the Door in the Sorting Facility
With the Locust Gas now online, head back to the original room with the bio-armored door. There will be a Locust Gas station to the right of the door, so yank one out with a grapple hook and throw it at the door to open it. Be warned, there are plenty of unfriendly enemies inside, so make sure to kill them all so that the south door will unlock.
To the west of this room is a Locust Gas station, which can be thrown at the locked bio-armored door on the west side to receive a free chest!
Once in the Sorting Station Command Center, head to the back of the room where you will find 2 terminals that can be hacked on the east and west. Each time you hack a terminal, enemies will spawn, so make sure to defeat them so ECHO-4 can complete the hack. After doing so, the Station Defender will spawn.
How to Kill the Station Defender in One Gassy Issue
How to Stop the Station Defender From Being IMMUNE
The Station Defender is a Bio-Armored Bulkhead that will be immune to all forms of damage. In order to weaken the Station Defender, players must throw Locust Gas at it. Locust cannisters can be found within the room they are currently in, so be sure to check the corners and throw them at this Bulkhead to remove the bio-armor. This great fiend uses Armor as a health bar, so Corrosive and Cryo will be super effective here. Just be mindful of its stomp attacks, laser charge-up, and the rotating shield that it uses to protect itself. After some time, players will need to reapply Locust to its bio-armor when it goes immune. After its defeat, head into the unlocked south room and flip the switch to allow Locust to flow freely across Kairos, allowing you to access once-inaccessible areas like Order Bunkers in Dominion.
How to Get Into Beth's Basement in One Slimy Issue
Locust Location in the Lakeside Properties
Now that the Side Mission has been completed, players can return to Beth to start the second part, One Slimy Issue. Players are first tasked with getting into Beth's Basement, but the objective isn't very clear. Drop down from the Lakeside Properties to find a bio-armored door. Directly opposite the bio-armored door is a Locust station, which players can yank to grab a Locust cannister and throw it at the bio-armored door to continue the quest.
