One of Borderlands 4's most overpowered Rafa builds has received an update, making it even better than ever before. This Borderlands 4 Rafa build allows players to melt enemies without firing a single bullet, instead allowing the Peacekeeper Cannons to do the heavy lifting.
Clever theorycrafters wasted no time in the wake of Borderlands 4's release, trying out all manner of skill and weapon combinations. The number of unique weapon effects in the game means that there's a ton of build variety, which has inevitably led to some overpowered Borderlands 4 builds. Gearbox has been pretty good at implementing balance changes where absolutely necessary, without nerfing builds for the sake of it.

A Borderlands 4 player recently calculated the total number of SDU tokens required to unlock every upgrade, and ended up with a surprising revelation.
Borderlands 4 AFK Rafa Build Gets Big Improvements
At launch, a broken Borderlands 4 Rafa build surfaced from YouTuber Moxsy, which used ricochet damage to bounce various elements from one enemy to another with the Peacebreaker Cannons. Now, Moxsy has optimized and updated their build, now using the Mixologist affix on the Enhancement to incorporate their Maliwan shotgun's damage into every shot from their cannons. If players get a shotgun with Beam Tosser, which is an alternate fire mode that deals massive damage, this results in some crazy hits.
There's also another key change - Moxsy also has the Transfuser affix on their Enhancement, which spreads their active Status Effect to up to three enemies. Again, this works alongside Borderlands 4's Peacebreaker Cannon, a particularly potent combo. Overall, Moxsy describes this build as the "fastest mob clearing build" they've used, and says it's perfect to "efficiently farm Drill Sites really fast."
While using overpowered Borderlands 4 builds is always a lot of fun, players should be wary of putting all their eggs in one basket. Anything that proves to be too broken is always at risk of a nerf, such as the now-patched Borderlands 4 Crit Knife build for Vex. That's not to suggest that this Rafa build will be nerfed in the future, but it's something players should certainly be aware of.
