Borderlands 4 players have three new SHiFT codes to redeem right now for Golden Keys, which can then be used to obtain free in-game loot. These Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes are only active until October 6, giving players a limited time to redeem them.
Players with linked accounts can use the SHiFT website to redeem SHiFT codes, which Gearbox uses as a way to deliver Golden Keys to players. These Golden Keys can then be used at any of the four Borderlands 4 Golden Chests in-game, usually harboring awesome loot. This loot is leveled to the player, so it can be used as a way to get upgrades both during a playthrough and in the endgame. There's a higher chance of Legendary loot in Golden Chests, making them particularly valuable.

New Borderlands 4 SHiFT Codes Active Until October 6
Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford posted the three new Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes on X, which are as follows: T9XTB-93BC3-56T35-TBBJT-KF5TW, TZRBJ-3KTWT-KX3BC-TT3TB-B9ZSK, and 3HR33-KWBKT-KRJ3W-JBBTJ-FSTC3. Each one provides players with one Golden Key to redeem in-game. However, they're only active until October 6, so players have a limited time to redeem them. Once redeemed, there's no expiration on when players have to use the Golden Keys, so they're worth grabbing even for players who won't get to play before October 6.

Those who miss out this time around don't have to worry too much, though. Gearbox has been very generous in giving out Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes during the game's release window as a way to provide players with some extra loot throughout their playthroughs. No doubt, it won't be long before there are even more SHiFT codes available for players to redeem beyond October 6.
While SHiFT codes and free loot are great, it's not Gearbox's main focus for the game at the moment. The developer has already released several Borderlands 4 updates to fix and rebalance the game, significantly improving it from its original launch state. It will be exciting to see how Borderlands 4 continues to improve in the coming months as Gearbox further polishes the experience.
