Borderlands 4 players have six new SHiFT codes to claim in mid-October 2025. This latest batch of promotional offers—which expire by October 15—brings the total number of currently available Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes into double-digit territory.
As of late 2025, Gearbox has been consistently giving out SHiFT codes for 13 years and counting. After Borderlands 4 debuted to rave reviews in September, the frequency of these promotional offers has increased, with the developer-publisher using them to both market its latest game and sustain player engagement.

Borderlands 4 Gets 6 New Limited-Time SHiFT Codes
In yet another example of this trend, half a dozen new Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes have been made available in October 2025. Each of them grants a singular Golden Key, used for opening unique loot chests in major faction towns: Belton's Bore, Carcadia, The Lockaway, and The Launchpad. Half of the recently shared codes are expected to expire on Monday, October 13. The other half will be available to redeem for a few days longer.

The same code can be redeemed via SHiFT multiple times, once for every supported platform (Steam, EGS, PSN, Xbox Live).
Three of the currently live Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes were originally said to expire on October 11, but The Best War Games can confirm that they still work as of the following day. While Gearbox doesn't consistently extend code availability, it occasionally does so, typically by an additional 48 hours.
The promo codes can be redeemed by logging into one's SHiFT account and then navigating to shift.gearboxsoftware.com/rewards. Gearbox's digital platform does not check for product ownership, making it possible to redeem the codes even without owning Borderlands 4. Anyone who does so will have the rewards waiting for them once they do get around to purchasing and playing the game. Each of the currently available codes is compatible with the Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox versions of the looter shooter. They need to be redeemed individually for every platform.
Separately, the Borderlands 4 "Cult Classic" Amon skin is still available to claim. Its SHiFT code, "JZ6BJ-SBR5J-WF3BK-BT3BB-TX9HB," will be valid for over five more years, until the end of 2030. Players can presently also unlock the Break Free Cosmetic Pack and "Savings Savior" Rafa skin by redeeming SHiFT codes "JS63J-JSCWJ-CFTBW-3TJ3J-WJS5R" and "TZXT3-XJXCB-CXBJW-BTTJT-9SK6B," respectively. Based on Gearbox's recent track record, more promotional offers of this sort are likely to materialize before the end of 2025.
