A good shield in Borderlands 4 will keep you alive, but a great one will do much more. In the case of the legendary Watts 4 Dinner shield, players will be able to get a decent boost to their damage output on top of getting superb survivability thanks to the item's unique perks. This shield is overall a great addition to any Vault Hunter's arsenal at all stages of the game.
Guns that fire lightning are cool, and with Watts 4 Dinner, you can make some crazy builds with anything that uses Shock damage. If you already have a Shock-based build for your Borderlands 4 character, then you might want to get this shield to top your setup off.
Borderlands 4: Best Legendary Shields & Where to Find Them
If players want to gain the best protection in Borderlands 4, then they will want to seek out these Legendary Shields for the power that they contain.
How to Get Watts 4 Dinner in Borderlands 4
This shield can be target farmed from Origo, one of the Primordial Vault Guardians in Borderlands 4. Origo is the Vault monster in Terminus Range, and much like the other Vault bosses, you need to get all three Vault Key Fragments in that region before you can reach him.
The entrance to Origo's Vault is inside the mountain. You can reach this via a cave entrance near the road.
Origo spends most of his time flying around the arena, so players might have trouble getting value out of any melee-focused builds when fighting this boss. Also, Origo's two health bars are made of Shields — if you don't have a good Shock weapon, then use ones that deal either Radiation or Kinetic damage instead.
Watts 4 Dinner Shield Effect
The Watts 4 Dinner legendary shield in Borderlands 4 comes with three perks, one of them being its unique legendary one:
- Overshield Eater: When you deal damage to an enemy, there is a 12% chance that an Overshield Booster will pop out of them. While you have an Overshield, you deal 25% more Shock damage.
The other two perks are random, and every Watts 4 Dinner drop can roll with a different combination. Some possible perks include:
- Amp: When Energy Shields are full, drain 26% of it to deal 100% more Gun Damage on your next shot.
- Resistant: When Shield is active, gain bonus Elemental Damage Resistance.
- Health Booster: When you get hit, there is a 20% chance that a Health Booster will spawn, restoring 5% health when picked up.
- Utility: When Shield is empty, gain bonus movement speed and Gun Handling.
Watts 4 Dinner is incredible for builds that rely on Shock damage, and if you get one with the Amp perk, then you can make an absolute boss killer of a build using a gun with the Maliwan Beam Tosser attachment. Vex with the Teen Witch legendary Class Item is especially good with any Amp shield.
