Borderlands fans can redeem a code to get 3 Golden Keys across the series, but only until August 21. As the wait for Borderlands' newest game, Borderlands 4, grows shorter, fans may be revisiting older titles, making this a good opportunity to get some free loot.
Golden Keys are a great way to get gear, regardless of the level of the player, as the items are scaled to match whoever is opening the chest. Golden Key codes for Borderlands tend to get shared more frequently around a game's release, as they help to build excitement and provide an opportunity for newcomers to the games to get some good loot.

Rafa’s kit borrows from some of Borderlands’ weakest Vault Hunters, making his debut a test of whether his particular archetype curse can be broken.
Borderlands Shares New Golden Key Code
Now, Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Entertainment, has shared a new code that gives the user 3 Golden Keys. The code is ZFR3J-WZHBJ-BJBBB-3JBBB-F9R3W, and can only be redeemed through August 21. However, once the code is redeemed, players can keep the Golden Keys it grants for as long as they like, so there's no rush to utilize them. The new code unlocks the keys in the original Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands 3, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
To redeem the code, players need to visit the Gearbox SHiFT page or utilize the code in-game. It needs to be reused for each game the player wants the keys in, so redeeming the code for them all at once on the Gearbox site may be the easiest way to do it. The website also lets players redeem the keys for Borderlands games they don't own. If a player purchases said game in the future and connects their SHiFT account, the keys should be waiting for them.
While there has been some controversy around Borderlands 4, most notably due to its higher price than many other recent game releases, fans are still eager to see what Gearbox has cooked up this time. Borderlands 3 had a rough landing, with technical issues plaguing some versions of the game at release. Even many of those who had a smooth experience weren't completely happy, as Borderlands 3 featured a story and new characters that some players weren't thrilled about. With any luck, these issues have been taken into consideration by the development team so Borderlands 4 doesn't make similar missteps. Thankfully, for fans who prefer the older titles, the company is still providing opportunities like this to get free gear for all its major Borderlands games.
