However, her interest in the two mysterious seals was only temporary, as the manga abruptly changes its course. It’s almost as if the Boruto manga intentionally cut Sarada’s investigation to avoid touching on the subject.

With this, it’s clear that fans may not get new updates about the Byakugo and Karma parallels unless Sarada suddenly develops a seal of her own.

It remains unclear whether the Byakugo seal on Sakura and Tsunade’s foreheads is connected to the Karma seal, which was implanted in Boruto and Kawaki’s bodies by Momoshiki and Isshiki Otsutsuki. However, there’s a strong possibility these two seals are connected not just because of their obvious visual similarities, but also because of their seal-based mechanics and time of emergence.

According to Sakura, Tsunade once talked about a jutsu, possibly the Byakugo, from a long, long time ago, back when the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, still existed in Boruto Part 1, chapter 36. Considering an Otsutsuki was present at the time the Byakugo was possibly created, there may truly be a connection between the two seals. Even Orochimaru believes the Byakugo goes a long way, meaning there’s so much they still don’t know about it.

As much as fans would love to discover the truth about these two seals, the Boruto manga seemingly avoids touching on the subject matter. Not only did the manga cut off Sarada’s curiosity about Byakugo, but it also left the topic hanging, with no signs of getting back to it anytime soon.

As the only daughter of Sakura and Sasuke, she could form the Byakugo seal faster than anybody else due to her strong chakra control.
