Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has given the fans quite a lot of exciting things to look forward to, but nothing has quite the attention of the fans like the return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. As is quite clear, neither Naruto Uzumaki nor Sasuke Uchiha is active in the story right now. Naruto Uzumaki was sealed away by Kawaki in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, while Sasuke Uchiha was turned into a tree in the timeskip of the story. While they're both incapacitated, fans know very well that they'll eventually return.
Naruto Uzumaki's Successor Is Officially Confirmed, And It's An Even Stronger Ninja
Naruto Uzumaki has a successor, and this new ninja will surpass him in power in Boruto.
Not only is the return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha practically confirmed, but fans know very well that they'll return stronger than ever before. Both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke will have some tremendous powers lined up for them, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see them go to the very top once again. As far as Naruto Uzumaki goes, a new Tailed Beast power-up seems likely, while Sasuke Uchiha's timeskip training has already put him on the level of the strongest characters in Boruto.

Naruto Uzumaki will eventually return in Boruto, and that's something every fan of the story knows. When he does return, he will get stronger and this has officially been confirmed by Fishing and Ikemoto. This is because, at the moment, Sasuke Uchiha is far stronger than him.

Say Hello To The New Strongest Uchiha Jutsu In Boruto
The strongest Uchiha has been revealed, and its power surpasses everything else seen before in Boruto.
In the Boruto databook, it's been officially stated that Sasuke trained during the timeskip and got stronger. As his strength increased, he surpassed Naruto. Of course, right now, Naruto is far below Sasuke's level. That said, Kishimoto has previously stated that Naruto and Sasuke have to grow together, and they must be equal in power.
As such, when Naruto returns, he will have to get stronger. The two ways for him to get stronger both include Tailed Beasts. Either Naruto Uzumaki can seek out the eight Tailed Beasts, and perhaps even Kurama, and borrow their chakra, or perhaps he can absorb Jura’s powers, given that Jura is a Tailed Beast incarnate and cannot die.

Sasuke Uchiha Has Trained During The Timeskip
Sasuke Is Around Code's Level Right Now
As far as Sasuke Uchiha goes, fans know very well that he has trained during the timeskip. His training with Boruto has already seen him reach a high power level. Sasuke was able to fight and even injure Code without his Limiters. To put that into perspective, Code without limiters is stronger than Jigen, and Jigen was able to beat both Naruto and Sasuke with Six Paths powers at the beginning of the series. Right now, Sasuke is, physically, at his very peak and when he returns, he should be strong enough to take down the likes of the Otsutsuki. An ocular upgrade for his Mangekyo Sharingan is also a big possibility.
I realize that Boruto started as a sequel to Naruto, but due to Naruto's massive presence, it's been a pretty tough road to travel. Boruto has finally emerged as a proper protagonist in his own right. But will he be a hero on the same level as his father? Or maybe even surpass him? To be honest...
