This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.
Naruto Uzumaki is the most iconic character in the Naruto franchise, and that is most certainly never going to change. Even though the Boruto series is about his son, Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto still remains the most popular and loved character of all. However, it also cannot be denied that Naruto is absent from the series right now, much to the dismay of the fans. His absence has left a big hole to fill, which means that someone has to step up and fill it.
Boruto: Kishimoto Finally Reveals The New Strongest Villain That Can Destroy The World
The strongest Shinju will be so powerful that it can destroy the whole world of Boruto.
While most fans would want his son, Boruto Uzumaki, to fill this role, he is more similar to Sasuke than anything. The only Boruto character who can efficiently fill in this spot and become the next Naruto Uzumaki is the one who inherited his power, and that is Himawari Uzumaki. Fans know Himawari to be the daughter of Naruto, and she is a beloved character, especially now since she has inherited the power of Kurama.
Himawari Is The Next Naruto Uzumaki With Kurama's Help
- Himawari Has Inherited Naruto's Strongest Power
- Himawari's Power Can Surpass Naruto's Ability
Himawari Uzumaki is one of the most intriguing characters in the Boruto series. Fans know her to be terrifyingly powerful, and her potential is almost through the roof. Kurama himself stated that her synchronization with him and the overall efficiency of chakra is way higher than he had with any other Jinchuriki, including Naruto. This alone gives Himawari a chance to surpass anything that Naruto achieved in terms of power at some point in the future.
You don't understand a thing. For you are no ordinary shinobi. You're even a little different from Jinchuriki, those who host Bijuu inside them. You are human, and yet, if anything, you're more similar to me and Jura. — Kurama to Himawari Uzumaki in Boruto
More than that, this whole plot point is setting up Himawari as the next Naruto Uzumaki in his absence. It goes without saying that Naruto's absence is sorely felt in the Boruto series, and to mitigate that, Kurama has been brought back, but with Himawari.
Surprisingly enough, this is a welcome change for most fans. Fans have always wanted Himawari to get more screen time in the Boruto series, and this new change will allow the author to do just that. That said, this is something she cannot do easily, given that she has to learn to control the power of Kurama for good, but that is exactly what makes her character arc so exciting.
Himawari Uzumaki Is Even More Special Than Naruto Uzumaki
At this point in time, it is quite clear in the story that Himawari is being portrayed to be even more special than Naruto. Her chakra synchronization with Kurama is far higher, which means that she is more efficient and can dish out more damage once she has fully mastered his powers. In other words, Himawari Uzumaki is being built up to be a better version of Naruto Uzumaki in terms of power once she hits her peak in the future.
Boruto: Kishimoto Confirms Himawari's Secret Power That Makes Her Stronger Than Naruto Uzumaki
Himawari has insane potential, and she might even surpass Naruto Uzumaki in Boruto.
This power is immense. It should definitely surpass his. But the drawbacks are too great. You see, the fact that it drains our lifespan is the key here. Since chakra is connected, the power that comes into being from the bits of our lives also shaves off his life when in contact. That is the power of Baryon Mode. — Kurama to Naruto Uzumaki
Himawari will most certainly be able to utilize all the chakra of Kurama, and she might even be able to tap into the power of Baryon Mode at some point in the future, given her higher synchronization with the Tailed Beast.
Himawari Might Surpass Naruto Uzumaki In Power
As things stand, Naruto Uzumaki's peak with Baryon Mode is far greater than that of any other character in the Boruto series so far. However, many characters are likely going to surpass him in the future, including his own daughter, Himawari. Given that Kurama himself stated that their connection is far stronger than that of any other previous host, it is a fair assumption that Himawari can bring out the most power of Kurama.
On top of that, their synchronization is far greater, and Kurama and Himawari are essentially one unit. It goes without saying that this whole setup is for Himawari to surpass Naruto's control over Kurama, and that is most likely going to happen at some point in the future.
It remains to be seen how much Kishimoto wants to play with this idea and whether he keeps to his word and continues to build the side cast in the Boruto series, but the signs are good for all Himawari fans at the moment.
Still, even if Himawari does surpass Naruto in terms of power, she can never match his legacy and he will always remain to be the most iconic character in the franchise.
