This article contains spoilers from the Boruto manga.
The Naruto world has seen the rise and fall of multiple powerful shinobi over the years. With each passing era, a new generation of shinobi rises, and as has been the case for the vast majority of the story, the new generation tends to surpass the old one. Naruto Uzumaki's generation was the pinnacle of absolute strength, and Naruto himself was known to be the strongest of the lot. With the powers that he gained at his very peak, Naruto was unbeatable for the vast majority of characters, apart from Shibai Otsutsuki.
Say Goodbye To The Rinnegan, And Welcome An Even Stronger Eye In Boruto
The Rinnegan has become obsolete in Boruto. This new eye is far better now.
Unfortunately, Naruto's reign as the strongest came to an end rather abruptly, and he was eventually sealed by Kawaki. Naruto remains incapacitated to this day, and he is far weaker than his former self. As such, the space for a new strongest to rise in Boruto has emerged, and the character who is now the undisputed strongest is none other than Naruto's very own son, Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto possesses tremendous strength, and even though he has not hit the same heights as his father yet, he is quite easily the new strongest in the Naruto world and will hold on to this title in 2026 as well.
Naruto Was The Strongest Shinobi In The World Until Recently
- Naruto Gained The Chakra Of All Tailed Beasts
- His Strongest Power Was Baryon Mode
Naruto Uzumaki went from being a kid with a huge curse on him to the strongest in all of history. He managed to achieve this by taming his greatest weaknesses and facing adversity with immense grit. Fans have come to love Naruto for these qualities, and that is precisely what made him a phenomenal main character. Naruto's biggest strength was quite easily Kurama. These two could stand up to any and all threats that they faced, and while most fans would be happy to see this as Naruto's peak, the fact is that he became even stronger when he unlocked the power of Baryon Mode.
This power is immense. It should definitely surpass his. But the drawbacks are too great. You see, the fact that it drains our lifespan is the key here. Since chakra is connected, the power that comes into being from the bits of our lives also shaves off his life when in contact. That is the power of Baryon Mode. — Kurama to Naruto Uzumaki
Using his own and Kurama's energy as kernels, Naruto Uzumaki gave rise to a new form of energy that far surpassed the likes of even Isshiki Otsutsuki. This is what Naruto and Kurama called Baryon Mode, and it was also the beginning of their downfall, even though it offered him tremendous powers. Immediately after the fight against Isshiki, Naruto lost access to Kurama's powers and was made severely weak. At the same time, Naruto was also sealed away by Kawaki towards the end of Boruto Part 1, and he remains incapacitated still. This is precisely why Boruto Uzumaki has been forced to rise up to the challenge and become the new strongest ninja in the world in 2026.
Boruto Uzumaki Is The New Strongest Shinobi In The Naruto World As Of Now
- Boruto Trained With Sasuke Uchiha
- Boruto Gained Jutsu From The Future
At this point in time, it goes without saying that Boruto Uzumaki is the strongest new ninja. This is quite evident from a few things already. During the timeskip, Boruto was trained by Sasuke Uchiha for about a year. During this time, he gained new powers, and according to Sasuke himself, he managed to master the vast majority of the Uchiha Jutsu that Sasuke knew. Of course, Boruto still had to improve their usage, but the basics were already in him. Kashin Koji later trained Boruto for two more years in various jutsu across multiple timelines that he could access through his Prescience ability.
The Boruto Uzumaki that fans see right now is the most perfect version of the character that could ever exist. That is also why he is one of the strongest. Boruto's strength is such that he can fight against the Shinjuu and even Code evenly.
I get it. You have no hope for a future. You just want to kill me and just disappear from this world as soon as possible. Unless, you have a chance to obtain freedom, that is. These divine beings are a threat to both of us. Will you help me or not? — Boruto Uzumaki to Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Boruto: TBV chapter 29
If all this was not enough, then one also needs to consider the fact that Boruto has access to Momoshiki's Karma now. As seen in the most recent chapters of the series, Boruto and Momoshiki made a deal, and Boruto now has access to all of Momoshiki's experience, as well as his strength. This has essentially pushed Boruto above the level of an average ninja and helped him rival the Gods of the world quite easily.
Boruto's Power Level Will Grow Even Further
It goes without saying that Boruto Uzumaki possesses tremendous strength already, and that he is easily one of the strongest in history at this point in time, but his powers will continue to grow even further, and that is a fact. So far, Boruto has only made use of the first stage of Karma. When the bigger battles roll in, such as the fight against Jura, fans know that Boruto will eventually end up using Karma Stage 2, which will push him to an even higher level of strength.
Boruto: A Shinobi Stronger Than Even Naruto Is Already Confirmed By Kishimoto
Naruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters in the Naruto and Boruto series. Kishimoto reveals a Shinobi even stronger than him.
In fact, his overall power level should even rival that of Isshiki, and perhaps even surpass it. This means that once Boruto unlocks the power of Karma Stage 2, he should be able to rival even Baryon Mode Naruto, and perhaps even surpass him in terms of strength. Crazy as that may sound to the fans, it is true, and in some ways, very exciting for the future of the series.
Fans Hope For Naruto's Return To Great Power
Of course, Naruto Uzumaki has been surpassed by Boruto already, but fans also know that he will go on to return at some point in the future. While the chances of Naruto gaining tremendous powers in the Boruto series are not that great, fans still hold out hope that Kishimoto and Ikemoto will do him justice at some point later down the line.
Naruto receiving a power-up is a given, but of course, whether that power-up will rival Boruto's more or not remains to be seen. Given that Naruto is the Seventh Hokage of Konoha, fans can only hope that his return to power happens soon enough, as that would be incredibly exciting for the story and it would also give the fans what they have been craving for quite a while now.
Unfortunately, Naruto's return doesn't seem to be anywhere near at this point in time, in the very least. 2026 will not see Naruto Uzumaki return to the manga properly. Perhaps in the following year, Naruto Uzumaki could finally return. But for now, fans should not hold on to hope because there's a lot of content that needs to be dealt with before the return of the Seventh Hokage.
