This article contains spoilers from the Naruto franchise.
The Uzumaki clan was given quite a lot of importance in the Naruto series. Known to be connected to the Senju, as well as being related to Asura Otsutsuki, the Uzumaki are known to have tremendous vitality. The protagonist of the series, Naruto Uzumaki, hails from this nearly extinct clan. Over the years, Naruto Uzumaki made a great name for himself and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that come the end of the series, he was the strongest Uzumaki of all time. In the Boruto era, Naruto was, once again, at the very top of the era, known to be not just the strongest Uzumaki, but also the strongest ninja in the whole world. Along with Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto could fight against the legendary Otsutsuki Clan members, and that certainly goes to show his overall level.
Naruto Uzumaki's Successor Is Officially Confirmed, And It's An Even Stronger Ninja
Naruto Uzumaki has a successor, and this new ninja will surpass him in power in Boruto.
Unfortunately, towards the end of the first part of Boruto, Naruto Uzumaki started experiencing a decline in terms of power. Right now, he's not even directly involved in the story. A new Uzumaki has replaced him as the strongest, and that's his very own son, Boruto Uzumaki. At this point in the series, Boruto is undoubtedly the strongest ninja and the strongest Uzumaki as well.
Naruto Uzumaki Has Been Replaced By Boruto As The Strongest Uzumaki
Boruto Has Gained Tremendous Power
- Naruto lost the power of Kurama
- Naruto is sealed away
While Naruto Uzumaki was tremendously powerful in the Boruto era at the beginning, being capable of rivaling even the likes of Momoshiki Otsutsuki in strength, things changed rapidly after his fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki. Naruto Uzumaki lost the power of Kurama, and this meant that he as weakened tremendously in terms of overall power. He still has access to Sage Mode and it works be disingenuous to say that Naruto is weak, but he is clearly not anywhere close to being the strongest.
I will become a Ninja who supports you when you're the Hokage. — Boruto Uzumaki to Sarada Uchiha
Boruto: Kishimoto Officially Confirms A New Otsutsuki-Level Ninja
There are many powerful ninjas in Boruto, but not many can be considered Otsutsuki-level.
In his stead, Boruto Uzumaki has stepped up greatly. Boruto is the current strongest in the world and it is quite easy to see why. He was trained for one year by Sasuke Uchiha, and shortly after, he trained under Kashin Koji. Thanks to his prescience, Boruto Uzumaki learned some of the most amazing Jutsu, and he ended up becoming a monster that could even crush Code in combat. Right now, Boruto can even go toe to toe with characters like Jura, and that makes him the strongest Uzumaki.
Listen, Himawari, you're not a Jinchuriki. You're more like Jura. — Kurama
Himawari Holds The Potential To Surpass Naruto As Well
Himawari Is A Human Tailed Beast
While Boruto is officially the strongest Uzumaki at the moment, fans know very well that Himawari also holds great potential. After Kurama died, it was actually reborn inside her. In a way, Kurama and Himawari are one entity, and that means there is another Uzumaki with the potential to surpass Naruto Uzumaki. Given that Himawari has better control over Kurama's powers than anyone else, she might well surpass even Baryon Mode Naruto in the future. At the very least, the author has certainly set up the basis for that to happen.
