Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has given fans quite a lot of incredible villains already, but none are more central to the plot than the Otsutsuki Clan. Fans know that the Otsutsuki are the main enemies in the Boruto series and this is something that even the author of the series, Ikemoto has confirmed himself.
Boruto: The Next Major Villain After The Shinju Is Already Revealed By Kishimoto
Two Shinju have already been defeated. Kishimoto reveals the next big threat in Boruto TBV.
The Otsutsuki have been given great importance in the Boruto series, with a ton of their lore being elaborated upon and some very powerful members of the clan being put on display. That said, not every plotline regarding the Otsutsuki Clan has been tied already, and there is more stuff to come. In fact, Ikemoto, the author of the story, has recently teased yet another Otsutsuki which will turn the world upside down.
Shibai Otsutsuki Is The Strongest Otsutsuki
- Shibai Was Revealed In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
- He Exists In Another Realm
When it comes to the new and overpowered Otsutsuki in the Boruto series, fans know that Shibai Otsutsuki tops the list. Shibai was first mentioned by Amado, and it was also made clear to the fans that he is the mightiest of all the Otsutsuki that the story has shown so far. Shibai harvested the chakra fruit from so many planets that he eventually ascended to godhood. In fact, he left his mortal body behind and is known to exist in a different realm of existence now. Shibai’s body was used as a source of multiple Shinjutsu, some of which were given to the members of the Kara, with quite a lot of them still being important right now.
His name was Shibai Otsutsuki, and he ascended to a different realm of existence, leaving his mortal body. — Amado
More than that, fans also know that Shibai could very well become extremely important later down the line if Ikemoto does go on to make him a main villain. After all, a character such as him would serve as a wonderful final villain of the whole Boruto series.
Akebi Will Soon Turn Into A New Otsutsuki
Akebi Is Amado’s Very Own Daughter
While Shibai is undoubtedly a very overpowered Otsutsuki, it isn't him that Ikemoto has teased as a new Otsutsuki. It is none other than Akebi, Amado's daughter. Recently, Amado and Kawaki struck a deal, which essentially allows Amado to resurrect his daughter using the Karma. Kawaki will implant the karma on Delta so Akebi is reborn. But, there exists a big risk of Akebi turning into an Otsutsuki, and this is a plot point Ikemoto has set up himself. Kawaki already warned Amado that if she becomes an Otsutsuki, he will kill her, and all this will happen after Jura is dealt with. Once the Hitoshinju are out of the way, it seems Akebi Otsutsuki will be the main villain, and she is sure as hell going to be overpowered.
Boruto: Kishimoto Has Already Teased Sarada's Most Overpowered Ability
Sarada has a great Mangekyo Sharingan ability, but she is only going to get more powerful from here onwards in Boruto TBV.
Amado's Death Is Around The Corner
It is also highly likely that the genius scientist of Kara, Amado, will meet his end here. Amado has played a brilliant role in the Boruto series so far, but his goal is to resurrect his daughter. Once she is back and turns into an Otsutsuki, his character arc will be over and he will likely meet an end at the hands of either Akebi herself or maybe even Kawaki.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 is set for its official release on May 20, 2025. The release time of the chapter is 10 AM EST/ 3 PM UTC. As always, fans can read the chapter officially for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
