Jura of the Humanoid God Trees is terrorizing Boruto and company in recent chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. With his immense strength, rapid regenerative abilities, speed, and, not to mention, deadly miniature Bijuu bombs, he is clearly the strongest villain, if not the strongest character, in the Boruto manga now.

Even Boruto Uzumaki can’t take Jura alone. His current strength is not enough to push Jura to the brink of death, even though he can fight toe-to-toe with him. But no matter how strong Jura is, another character will always be more powerful than him. The Boruto manga introduced this character in previous chapters, shedding light on his mysterious identity and story.

Jura Is Stronger Than Boruto Now

In recent chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto is shown struggling against Jura in a solo match despite all the training he did and the power-ups he received in the last few years. His new Rasengan variant, Uzuhiko, is ineffective against Jura, as the direct incarnation of the Ten-Tails can easily nullify its effects.

While Boruto's custom version of Flying Raijin, combined with his speed, allows him to outwit Jura from time to time, it’s not enough to significantly damage his opponent. Jura’s regenerative abilities are a serious problem, making it difficult to find an opening to kill him in one powerful attack.

With this, it’s clear that Jura is stronger than Boruto now. Even Boruto himself acknowledges the strength of the God Trees, especially Jura, by asking Kawaki to fight and cooperate with him against them. In addition, Kashin Koji’s prescience revealed that Boruto will die fighting Jura in the multiple futures he saw, so it’s best to avoid him at all costs or else the world will end.

Shibai Otsutsuki Is Vastly Stronger Than Jura

While Jura is the strongest villain in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex now, his strength pales in comparison to the godly being that is Shibai Otsutsuki. He has yet to appear in the Boruto manga in full, but based on Amado Sanzu’s stories, his strength is on a different tier that not even Jura, Sasuke, Naruto, or Boruto could possibly reach. In short, he might be the strongest character in Boruto, so much so that he is revered as untouchable by many fans of the franchise.

According to Amado, Shibai Otsutsuki became a god after a series of karmic resurrections. He devoured many chakra fruits from one planet to another until he evolved into a god-like being far superior to any member of the Otsutsuki clan. He is said to be the father of shinjutsu, which fans already know is the highest order of chakra-based techniques, equivalent to divine miracles.

His name was Shibai Otsutsuki, and he ascended to a different realm of existence, leaving his mortal body. — Amado

While fans have never seen Shibai Otsutsuki fight as much as they see Jura, it’s clear that he holds overwhelming strength as a godlike being. Generating storms and summoning thunderbolts were just two of his horrifying abilities. It’s unclear whether he is still alive, but fans are looking forward to his actual appearance in the manga sometime in the future, likely as the final villain Boruto needs to terminate.

Can Jura Grow Stronger?

Jura is not an easy opponent to take down in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. In the event that Boruto and Kawaki push him into a corner, there’s a strong chance he could grow stronger by unlocking a new overpowered ability. He might even think of consuming the thorn soul bulbs of the other God Trees, which could surely give him a power boost. Or he could just retreat, escape, and regroup before confronting Boruto and Kawaki again. With this, Jura could use the downtime to find ways to grow stronger or fulfill his original plans instead.

For now, Jura remains a gigantic wall Boruto and Kawaki need to take down together before they can settle their own problems in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. But despite holding so much strength, including aura points, Shibai Otsutsuki is still stronger than him in all areas.
