More than that, it seems that Ikemoto and Kishimoto have cleverly revealed Boruto's romantic partner for the future of the series. As most fans had predicted, Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke, is being set up as a potential romantic partner for Boruto Uzumaki, this time, officially.

Boruto too seems to be somewhat into Sarada, given that he's protected her on many occasions, and his promise to Sasuke as well.

For years, fans were waiting for BoruSara to officially happen, and it just so happens that Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto have now given the fans exactly what they were asking for. By officially having Sarada declare her love for Boruto, it has now become clear that this ship is canon, and that Ikemoto and Kishimoto himself want this to happen in the future of the series.
