This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has been incredibly exciting for all the fans and with its most recent arc, the excitement has shot up through the roof. Things are getting incredibly intense with the Shinju having made a move on Konoha, and that gives an opportunity to the main characters to shine once again.
After Kurama, Naruto Uzumaki's Next Power-Up Will Give Him A New Inner Demon
Naruto lost Kurama. He will, however, get a new inner demon in Boruto.
In the midst of all the chaos that is currently unfolding in Konoha, Kishimoto has set up the chance for a massive return of a beloved legendary character from Naruto, and that is none other than Kurama. As fans know, Kurama is now with Himawari. He was briefly shown in the fight against Jura and was taken out of the battle immediately. A proper glimpse of his powers has not been given to fans just yet, and that is precisely what could be happening in the new Boruto arc.
Kishimoto Will Bring Back Kurama In Action After 4 Years
The newest arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is focused on Mamushi. As fans know, he is an incredibly powerful Shinju who has the ability to divide his body infinitely without lowering any strength or chakra. The only downside of his ability is that the more he divides, the stupider he gets.
Still, his power is said to be strong enough to take over the entire world, and that makes him a massive threat. At the same time, both Jura and Hidari are going to be moving as well, as was confirmed through Kashin Koji's Prescience ability.
You be good, Naruto. And don't join me too soon. — Kurama to Naruto Uzumaki
Fans have also received confirmation already that Himawari will be deeply involved in the battles fought in this arc. She has a very terrible fate lined up for herself as she was shown dead in the future. As such, Kurama will need to help out greatly to change that future, and that is precisely why fans will see him properly in combat for the very first time since his death in the battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki.
Kurama Will Fight Against The Shinju
Although Kurama did fight against Jura alongside Himawari earlier in the series, it was a very brief display of his powers, and Himawari could most certainly not control him properly. Since then, the two have trained together and Kurama is now far more powerful in her body than before.
It's Real: Kishimoto Confirms The Death Of One Of The Uzumaki Family In Boruto
Fans were shocked by Kishimoto's death of an Uzumaki in Boruto.
Yours and mine synchronization is a lot higher than anyone else's, Himawari. — Kurama to Himawari
Fans will most definitely see Kurama going all out in the battle against the Shinju in Konoha. He will most likely face off against Jura because that is the individual who is after Himawari. His abilities like Chakra Cloak, Tailed Beast Ball, and potentially even a power similar to Baryon Mode could be put on display once again after 5 years.
Kurama's Power Will Be Greater Than Before
While Kurama possesses tremendous abilities, fans know that his new power is going to be far greater than before. This is because Kurama is no longer just a beast inside a vessel. Just like Jura is the incarnation of the Ten Tails itself, Himawari is very similar. This means that the two function as one entity and can thus use chakra incredibly efficiently.
The new powers of Kurama will allow Himawari, when she matures, to go head-to-head with incredibly powerful enemies and, as such, his power will be far greater than ever before. This can also potentially allow her the opportunity to use Baryon Mode far better than Naruto and without the risk of death unless overused.
In any case, the new Arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will definitely give the fans a proper look at Kurama's powers after many years, and it will be delightful to see him in combat once again.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's chapter 29 is set for its official release on December 18, 2025. The release time of the chapter is 10 AM EST/ 3 PM UTC. As always, fans can read the chapter officially for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
