To even the balance between him and Kawaki, Kishimoto and Ikemoto decided to make Kawaki stronger in their own way. As is quite clear right now, Kawaki is seeking more power, and it seems the one to give him that will be Amado once again. Having already upgraded his body recently, Amado will try to do so again, only this time, he'll be pushing his body beyond all its limits. Kawaki's new power-up is sure to make him much stronger, and that goes without saying. However, the consequences that this power-up will have will be major, and fans will surely see this plot point being explored in Boruto later down the line.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has marked the beginning of a new arc, and with it, new power-ups seem to be on the way. At the moment, both Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki seem to be on track to get new power-ups. As far as Kawaki is concerned, it is quite clear that he's going to get a major power-up soon, and it all comes down to Amado. For those who don't remember, Kawaki's whole body was engineered by Amado after he was taken in by Jigen.

Konoha even described his body to be a scientific work of art. As such, Kawaki's body can be modified by Amado freely, and he can even add or remove limiters from it. In the previous arc, Amado already switched Kawaki's body to attack mode, removing all the Limiters that he had placed on his body. Now, however, Kawaki is seeking more as it doesn't feel enough to him.
Say Goodbye To Naruto Uzumaki And Sasuke Uchiha For Now
Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha will not be returning anytime soon, and fans should bid them farewell for now in Boruto.
To beat Jura, he knows he needs more power. He needs enough firepower to overcome his regeneration, and only then can he stand a chance at winning, even though Amado outright believes that winning against him is impossible. By threatening Amado, Kawaki has now officially demanded a new power-up. In other words, Kawaki wants more attack power. With more tweaks, Kawaki's overall attack prowess is going to increase even further, and when that happens, fans will most definitely see a new version of him that can even give Jura a rough time.

Kawaki Risks Hurting Himself In Boruto
Kawaki's power-up in Boruto is surely going to be absolutely massive, and fans will definitely see an improvement, but Kishimoto and Ikemoto are setting this up to be a major plot point for him, or else the risks wouldn't have been highlighted. The fact that these risks are there in the first place means the strain on Kawaki's body will be too much and he will hurt himself in a bad way. At this point, Kawaki is just a ticking time bomb ready to explode, and nobody can save him from himself.
