With the fall of the Shinju, fans know that the return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha gets closer, and immediately after they return, Kishimoto is likely to throw them into major battles. In fact, the final villain that they will take on in the Boruto series might have been revealed in the story already, surprising as that may be to some fans of the story. Upon their return, only one character will be strong enough to threaten Naruto and Sasuke, and that's Shibai Otsutsuki.

Naruto and Sasuke faced a very cruel fate in the Boruto series, and that's something the fans haven't taken lightly. Naruto Uzumaki was stripped of his powers in the fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki, which saw the death of Kurama, and Sasuke Uchiha had his Rinnegan taken from him.

If that wasn't bad enough, both of them were incapacitated in the story by the author. Naruto Uzumaki was sealed by Kawaki, while Sasuke Uchiha turned into a tree. Fans are, naturally, getting tired of the disrespect that Naruto and Sasuke are facing on a constant basis, and that's precisely why they are hoping for things to change in Two Blue Vortex.

The good thing is, it is highly likely that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will put Naruto and Sasuke back where they belong once they return. As fans know, Sasuke is close to returning now, and that's down to Hidari's fall edging closer. Meanwhile, Naruto Uzumaki will also return soon after Sasuke, and when he does, the legendary duo will set out to face threats again.

With the new generation of ninjas having grown up already, there is no reason for Kishimoto and Ikemoto to nerf Naruto and Sasuke anymore. In other words, they'll be back to their very best, and that officially means that they'll play a major role in the battle against the final Otsutsuki, which is likely to be Shibai.

The Otsutsuki Threat Will Persist

So far, the threat in Boruto has been the Shinju, but fans know that the Otsutsuki Clan is still out there. These Otsutsuki will eventually threaten Earth again. For one, Akebi will likely turn into an Otsutsuki soon, but more than that, Shibai, who was introduced previously in Naruto Next Generations, is also going to play some role.

When Shibai does become more relevant, it will be up to Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, Kawaki, and Sarada to stop him, and that's something that all fans are eagerly waiting for. That said, this battle is nowhere close at the moment, so fans will have to wait for a while.
