This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues strong, with intense battles following one after the other in Konoha. The Shinju have already made their mark in the new series, and it goes without saying that they will continue to showcase their powers over the course of the next few chapters. At the moment, fans are seeing Konoha being attacked by Shinju Mamushi, and he will most certainly showcase tremendous abilities, allowing the main cast to grow stronger as well.
Say Hello To The Final Power Ups Of Naruto and Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke will eventually return in Boruto, and stronger than ever.
While Boruto has been interesting, most fans are actually concerned with the return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. After all, these two characters are at the core of the Naruto franchise, and without them, the story truly does not feel the same. Ever since Naruto Uzumaki was cut out from the plot, fans have been counting the days down until his return, and the same goes for Sasuke as well. Fans absolutely cannot wait for these two to show off what they can do once again, and it seems that Kishimoto has already made clear when exactly they will return in the story. The answer is something that fans might not like, but it is one that they will have to accept at this point.
Kishimoto Sealed Naruto And Sasuke Away
- Naruto Uzumaki was sealed away by Kawaki
- Sasuke was turned into a tree
Naruto and Sasuke met a grim end in the first part of the Boruto series. While their journey started off on a good note initially, with both getting chances to show off their powers against the likes of the Otsutsuki, fans later saw them being overwhelmed by enemies repeatedly. Eventually, Naruto tapped into the power of Baryon Mode in the battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki, and this ended up being a massive sacrifice. This fight was of such a caliber that Naruto had to give up the power of Kurama entirely to ensure the future of the world.
The future of this world rests with you and Sarada, Boruto. — Sasuke Uchiha to Boruto Uzumaki
With Kurama gone, Naruto was left incredibly weak, and he was no longer able to compete at the highest level. This is precisely why Kawaki ended up sealing him away in the dimension of Daikokuten, along with Hinata, and he has yet to reappear since.
Coming over to Sasuke, fans know that he too met a grim fate in the Isshiki battle. Sasuke was defeated by Isshiki rather easily, but immediately after, Momoshiki dealt an even bigger blow to him by stabbing his Rinnegan. With the Rinnegan gone forever, Sasuke was weakened tremendously. During the timeskip, he trained Boruto Uzumaki for about a year. Sasuke also fought Code in battle, and even though he did incredibly well, taking one of his eyes and cutting down countless Claw Grimes, he was eventually overwhelmed and turned into a tree. Sasuke ended up becoming the DNA of the Shinju Hidari, and that is where things stand right now.
Sasuke Uchiha Will Return Before Naruto Uzumaki
- Sasuke's return is on the cards at the moment
When it comes to the return date of Naruto and Sasuke, fans must remember that these individuals will not come back at the same time in the story. In fact, it is almost a guarantee that Sasuke Uchiha will come back before Naruto Uzumaki, and that is how the plot has been established at this point. This is because Sasuke's return is directly tied to the defeat of Shinju Hidari, while Naruto Uzumaki requires further steps.
I have trained you in every art that I know. Now it is up to you to hone those skills. — Sasuke Uchiha to Boruto
In order to bring Sasuke back, Boruto Uzumaki needs the Thorn Soul Bulb from Hidari. He almost had it once after his Uzuhiko took out Hidari entirely, but as fans know, the latter regenerated fully. In the next battle that Hidari fights, he won't get this luxury again and will be taken down completely. Be it Sarada Uchiha or Boruto Uzumaki who deals the killing blow to him, fans know that the Thorn Soul Bulb will be recovered one way or another. After the Thorn Soul Bulb is recovered, Sasuke can finally return, and this is quite straightforward.
Say Goodbye To Naruto Uzumaki And Sasuke Uchiha For Now
Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha will not be returning anytime soon, and fans should bid them farewell for now in Boruto.
Of course, there are other things to take care of first before Sasuke's return. The Shinju Mamushi is ravaging Konoha at the moment, and he needs to die in order for Hidari to be the next target. It is only after Mamushi falls that Sasuke can return. Overall, fans are looking at perhaps a year or a year and a half of wait before the eventual return of Sasuke Uchiha, and that truly brings a lot of hope to the fans.
Naruto Will Return Near The End Of The Series
- Naruto Uzumaki won't come back before the climax of the series
Unfortunately, unlike Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki cannot return within a year and a half. The reason for this is quite simple. In the prologue of the Boruto series, fans saw Kawaki and Boruto Uzumaki fight atop the Hokage faces. At this point, Kawaki clearly stated to Boruto that he would send him to the same place he sent the Seventh Hokage. In other words, the implication here is that the Seventh Hokage is still sealed away. This also means that the Shinju have already been dealt with, Boruto has fully mastered the power of his Karma, yet Naruto has not returned.
I will send you to the same place as Lord Seventh, Boruto. — Kawaki to Boruto
The battle between Boruto and Kawaki is also going to be near the end of the series. This fight is going to mirror Naruto and Sasuke's battle from the original story and will most definitely be the biggest fight of all in the entire story. The fact that Naruto has not returned in the story by this point means that he won't come back before the end, which is incredibly unfortunate for the character. It is only after Boruto defeats Kawaki and brings him back to his senses that the latter will finally go on to free the Seventh Hokage. Unfortunately, this means that fans won't get to see much more growth for Konoha's legendary Hokage in this story
2026 Will Be Rough For Naruto And Sasuke Fans
At this point, it is quite clear that both Naruto and Sasuke will eventually come back in the Boruto series; however, their returns will not happen at the same time. As far as 2026 goes, it is beyond the shadow of a doubt that fans won't see these two characters return. For Sasuke to come back, Mamushi needs to be dealt with, and then a new arc needs to begin, which would then set up the fall of Hidari. All this will most definitely take more than just 11 months.
Meanwhile, Naruto Uzumaki's return is nowhere close and will only happen towards the end of the Two Blue Vortex story. At the very least, Naruto's return will not happen before three to four years, which is truly unfortunate. Sasuke fans can rest assured that their beloved Uchiha will be looking to make a comeback soon enough, unlike the Seventh Hokage of Konoha. Still, 2026 is going to be rough for both Naruto and Sasuke fans because neither of their favorites is going to make a return this year, unfortunate as that may be.
