This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex recently dropped crucial details not only about the future of Konoha but also about certain characters who could either die or survive in the battles ahead. As long as Jura and the God Trees exist, everyone Boruto cares about will remain in danger. From Naruto and Himawari Uzumaki to Sarada Uchiha, no one is safe from the Shinju’s growing desire to consume their targets.

Fortunately, Kashin Koji’s Prescience has been very useful in guiding Boruto against Jura and the God Trees, but even he admits that some outcomes are beyond his control. In fact, the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga is already hinting at a major turning point, where Kishimoto and Ikemoto could sacrifice Eida to grant the Shinju a new power-up. Fans have long speculated about this power-up, and it could potentially occur soon.

Eida Could Die in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Mamushi Is Coming to Kill Eida

  • Mamushi will attack Konoha to consume Eida.
  • Eida is no fighter and lacks combat skills.

Eida has one of the most powerful shinjutsu in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, a technique so broken it reshaped the world’s reality in an instant. While she can’t activate the effects of Omnipotence at will, the mere existence of her ability continues to influence the fate of everyone connected to her. From Boruto and Kawaki to Sarada and Sumire to the Shinju Mamushi, who wants to get her superior genetic information.

From day one, Eida had been afraid of Mamushi, knowing that once it reached her, escape would be nearly impossible. While Eida has yet to face Mamushi personally, she understands how the Shinju’s instincts are driven by something even omnipotence might not suppress. This is one of the reasons why Eida avoids using Senrigan to take a peek at the Shinjus, knowing full well that Mamushi is watching her.

Unfortunately, unlike Daemon, Eida is not a strong fighter. She doesn’t have the combat skills to protect herself from someone like Mamushi once they come face to face in Konoha. If things turn for the worst, Eida might have no choice but to accept her death at the hands of Mamushi. After all, she has been talking about her potential death quite recently, almost as if she already knows what will happen to her.

Shinju Mamushi Could Get a New Power-Up

The Power-Up Born From a Shinju Consuming Their Target

While Jura and the God Trees lost Matsuri and Ryu in previous chapters, the threat they pose to Konoha and Boruto Uzumaki remains immense. Their unpredictable instinct and evolving power make them nearly impossible to anticipate without the help of Kashin Koji’s visions. Even Amado thinks Jura is nearly impossible to kill, as the leader of the God Trees can simply regenerate after taking damage.

However, beyond the powers Jura has revealed so far, fans have yet to witness a Shinju devour their target. If Mamushi successfully consumes Eida, he would be the first of the Shinju to experience a new level of strength or even a transformation that fans have never seen before. Worse, he could even gain the power to use Omnipotence at will, considering he desires Eida’s genetic information.

At this point, Mamushi could be the first Shinju who would score a win on their side. His ability to replicate at full power is a bad match for Eida. While Eida has Daemon to protect her, their combined force might not be enough to contain Mamushi. Of course, Sarada, Sumire, and Boruto’s allies in Konoha might do something to help out, but even their combined efforts could fall short against someone like Mamushi.

Eida’s Death Could Reverse the Effects of Omnipotence

Boruto and Kawaki’s True Roles Could Be Restored

10 Boruto Characters That Are Beyond Kage Level

Reversing the effects of Omnipotence has never been part of Boruto Uzumaki’s priorities, no matter how frustrating it is for fans to see Boruto lose everything. His focus has always been to restore the Uzumaki household, even if it means holding on to hope that Kawaki won’t be consumed by the darkness that haunts him.

Boruto Kawaki New Power Up

Because of this, there’s no clear timeline where the effects of Omnipotence can be undone or fully controlled. However, if Eida dies in the middle of Mamushi’s attack in Konoha, the effects of Omnipotence could be abruptly halted, potentially resetting the distortions she subconsciously created. In other words, if and when Eida dies, Boruto and Kawaki’s roles could be restored to their original state.
