This article contains spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is setting up the stage for the next battle between the humanoid God Trees and Boruto Uzumaki. This time, however, Kishimoto and Ikemoto hinted that Eida and Daemon will be up against the Shinju Mamushi in the succeeding chapters, making the wait even more intense for fans.
That’s not all; Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 26 also hinted at a forgotten character set to receive real growth and character development. It’s about time for Inojin Yamanaka to step up, as the manga teases his potential role in the battles to come. He wants to protect Himawari Uzumaki at all costs, but his current power is not enough to stand on equal footing against Jura, the biggest villain of the Boruto manga.

A new human-tailed beast has been revealed, and it's even stronger than a Jinchuriki in Boruto.
Inojin Joins Forces With Boruto and Kashin Koji
Inojin Has Similar Goals to Boruto and Koji
- Inojin Yamanaka unexpectedly joins Team Boruto for now.
- Inojin Yamanaka wants to protect Himawari Uzumaki from Jura.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 26 just dropped, giving fans major updates about Boruto and Kashin Koji’s alliance, Eida’s friendship with Sarada and Sumire, and Shikamaru’s conflict with the two elders of Konoha. There’s still no update about Kawaki Uzumaki, but fans are shifting their attention to Inojin Yamanaka, who seems ready to assume a much bigger role in the fight against Jura and the Shinju Clones.
During Jura’s first visit to Konoha, Inojin hurt himself in his attempt to protect Himawari from the direct incarnation of the Ten Tails. This encounter became a wake-up call, making him realize how crucial it is to grow stronger and master his clan’s abilities if he wants to protect Himawari and his family from the Shinju Clones. He understands how powerful and destructive Jura is, making it easier for Koji and Boruto to involve him in their plan.
In fact, Kashin Koji did not waste time taking advantage of the situation. With Inojin’s cooperation, Koji was able to connect with Shikamaru and advise him on the political tension brewing in Konoha. This effectively turned Inojin into an accomplice, torn between loyalty to Konoha and trust in Koji and Boruto’s plans. It won’t be a surprise if Inojin later receives a power-up just by collaborating with Kashin Koji.
Inojin Yamanaka Could Grow Stronger
Inojin Yamanaka Could Unlock A New OP Jutsu
At this point, it’s crucial for Inojin Yamanaka to grow stronger in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. If he wants to protect Himawari Uzumaki, instead of becoming a liability in fights, he must master his clan’s abilities, expand his techniques, or develop an entirely new jutsu as soon as possible. With the current direction of the manga, it’s possible that Kishimoto is planning to give Inojin a new power-up that would end up being a game-changer.
That power-up remains unconfirmed, but fans are already expecting Inojin to receive more character growth rather than remain a supporting character with little to no relevance in the current story arc. Of all the next-generation ninjas in Boruto, only a few have been given notable upgrades, but that might change soon with Inojin Yamanaka taking on a bigger role as fights against Jura and his kind intensify.

For Inojin to grow stronger in just a short amount of time, he must train under Kashin Koji, much like how the latter helped Boruto during the timeskip. With Ten Directions, or Prescience, Kashin Koji could accelerate Inojin’s growth, turning him into a trump card or secret weapon in the battles to come.
Inojin Yamanaka Will Play a Bigger Role in Boruto’s Next Arc
Inojin Was Spotted in Koji’s Prescience Vision
Fans have already spotted Inojin Yamanaka in the latest vision Kashin Koji saw in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 23, suggesting that Kishimoto and Ikemoto may have already planted the seeds for Inojin’s upcoming character growth. It seems like Inojin will be up against a strong opponent again, likely Jura, giving him another chance to prove his worth as one of Himawari’s protectors.
Fans believe that Kishimoto won’t put Inojin in that vision unless he has a bigger plan in store for the character. Whether he receives a power-up or not, Inojin is bound to play a more crucial role in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex moving forward.
