The Boruto series has introduced the fans to quite a lot of incredible abilities over the years, but none of them are as charming as Baryon mode. This power was utilized by Naruto Uzumaki in his fight against Isshiki, and it is also the most painful fight that he has ever had to take part in. Simply put, Baryon Mode is a power that uses Naruto and Kurama's chakra as kernels for a new form of energy. This new form of energy was then utilized by the two to create parity in battle and even surpass Isshiki's overall power level, allowing them to defeat him.

Unfortunately for the two, this led to the death of Kurama, and Baryon Mode, the greatest power that anyone has shown on screen in the Boruto series, was officially done. That said, Baryon mode could very well return in the Boruto series now, thanks to the latest return of Kurama and a new power for him as well as Himawari Uzumaki. Needless to say, fans are incredibly eager to see it finally come back.
Kurama Has Returned With Himawari Uzumaki In Boruto
When Kurama died in battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki, most fans assumed that was it for him. Nobody really expected him to return as quickly as he did, but it didn't take him long to make a comeback. What really surprised the fans was the fact that he actually made a comeback not with Naruto, but with Himawari. This change was absolutely massive and what's even more shocking is the fact that Kurama did not gain another Jinchuriki, as most fans had expected.

Instead, Kurama actually received a new type of power which essentially makes him an incarnation in human form through Himawari.
Kurama And Himawari Are One Entity
It has been made clear time and again in the Boruto series that Kurama and Himawari are one entity. Himawari is not a Jinchuriki. She is just like Jura in the sense that she is the incarnation of a Tailed Beast, and this is what sets her apart from Naruto, who was just a Jinchuriki. In other words, she has no limits.
This also means that Himawari has the highest synchronization efficiency with Kurama, meaning little chakra is lost and the highest output of energy can be generated. Whereas Naruto was limited in what he could do due to being a Jinchuriki, Himawari clearly is not.
Baryon Mode's Return Is A Real Possibility Due To Kurama's New Power
Just by the return of Kurama, it is quite clear to see that Baryon Mode can once again officially come back to the Boruto series. However, what's even more interesting is that, thanks to Kurama and Himawari's new power, this ability can now be used in a more efficient way. The biggest problem that Naruto faced while using Baryon Mode was that he couldn't fully limit the wasted movements, which resulted in the waste of chakra.
This power is immense. It should definitely surpass his. But the drawbacks are too great. You see, the fact that it drains our lifespan is the key here. Since chakra is connected, the power that comes into being from the bits of our lives also shaves off his life when in contact. It is these wasted movements that eventually led to the death of Kurama because his chakra essentially ran out. If Kurama and Himawari have more synchronization, that means less chakra will be wasted, and more energy output can be generated. In other words, they can use this power without risking death.
Of course, it is not as simple as just tapping into Baryon Mode and becoming the strongest. Himawari still has to train her mind and body to become stronger.
That is precisely what makes her character arc so exciting, and through her, Kishimoto can bring back Baryon Mode in an even more efficient and exciting way, and most fans would certainly love to see that.
Of course, it is not Naruto utilizing this power anymore, but his very own daughter, whom most fans seem to enjoy. Naruto, on the other hand, will most likely get a power-up of his own, and fans are excited to see that.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the sequel to the original Boruto series, written by Mikio Ikemoto, and supervised by Masashi Kishimoto. The series follows the journey of Boruto Uzumaki, 3 years after the events of Omnipotence struck in the story.
