Naruto Uzumaki is one of the most important characters in the Boruto series. This is a given, because Naruto is the one who kick-started the entire franchise. He is one of the most beloved anime characters all over the world, even about a decade after the conclusion of the original manga, and the authors of the Boruto series are very well aware of that fact.
Boruto's New Arc Officially Gives A Naruto Uzumaki Return Update

This is precisely why Naruto will continue to be given special attention in the Boruto series. Granted, his recent treatment in Boruto has been rather underwhelming and disappointing, but fans are still hopeful that Naruto will return stronger than ever. After being unsealed, it appears that his greatest transformation which could surpass even Baryon mode will be finally unveiled.
Naruto Uzumaki's Strongest Transformation Could Come After His Return

At this point in time, Baryon Mode is widely considered to be Naruto's strongest transformation. Over the years Naruto Uzumaki has had many transformations, but the one he displayed against Isshiki Otsutsuki, Baryon Mode, is at the top. This transformation saw Naruto utilize a power similar to nuclear energy by using his own and Kurama's chakra as kernels. Naruto gave rise to a new form of energy the magnitude of which far surpassed that of what Isshiki possessed.
This power is immense. It should definitely surpass his. But the drawbacks are too great. You see, the fact that it drains our lifespan is the key here. Naruto was even able to shave away Isshiki's own chakra with Baryon Mode, and coupled with his immensely overwhelming strength, he was able to push Isshiki on the back foot. Without Naruto, it would have been impossible to defeat Isshiki. However, as he did that, he also lost his biggest source of power, that is, Kurama.
Undoubtedly, it is quite clear in the series that Naruto is a shell of his former self now. However, his strongest transformation could still come after his return, and this is because there are new power-ups lined up for him. The most significant power-up that Naruto could get upon his return is a new transformation connected to a new inner demon, that is, Jura.
Naruto's Return Could See Him Gain Jura's Power
The idea of Jura becoming the next inner demon for Naruto Uzumaki after Kurama makes perfect sense. Jura's character arc itself needs a proper conclusion. For those who do not know, Jura is the human incarnation of the Ten-Tails. This means that Jura possesses all the powers of the Ten Tails and the conscience of a human.
In other words, he is stronger than the average Ten-Tails, but possesses all properties of the Ten-Tails itself, such as an undying body and survival even after death. In other words, Jura absolutely cannot be killed, and this has been stated in the manga as well.
Boruto: Kishimoto Reveals A New Character Stronger Than Naruto And Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke are strong, but at their current level, they are no match for this new Boruto villain.
At the same time, it must also be kept in mind that Jura's personal character arc sees him develop an immense obsession with Naruto Uzumaki. Jura wants to get to Naruto and understand by speaking to him what true love really means. A proper conclusion to Jura's story can only come if he actually goes on to meet Naruto and understand the meaning of love.

Jura wants to consume Naruto, but in the end, instead of consuming Naruto, he could simply choose to join hands with him after understanding Naruto's true version of love.
Naruto With Jura Would Be The Strongest Boruto Character
There are two important things to take into consideration here. The first is that Naruto Uzumaki needs a new power source after losing Kurama. The second is that Jura is obsessed with Naruto Uzumaki and wants to meet him and understand love by speaking to him. Taking these two things into consideration, the best outcome that could come out of this is a collaboration between Jura and Naruto.
Even though Jura can be defeated by Boruto or Kawaki, his meeting with Naruto has to come eventually. When that happens, it is possible that instead of consuming Naruto, Jura will want to join forces with him and decide to live in his body. Once again, it must be remembered that Jura cannot die as, just like other Tailed Beasts, he will go on to regenerate and respawn every single time.
There is a reason why Hagoromo chose to become the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails instead of simply killing it. Someone has to take this burden and Naruto would be perfect. It would be the perfect conclusion for all character plotlines and it would give Naruto his next strongest transformation with Jura.
