Naruto Uzumaki is one of the most iconic characters in the Naruto franchise, and fans know him to be a legend whose influence goes beyond his own series. That's exactly what's happened in the Boruto series, although not all of it has been ideal. Naruto Uzumaki is nowhere to be seen in the story currently, and while that has greatly disappointed the fans, the author certainly does have a worthy replacement lined up for him, and it is none other than the daughter of his biggest rival and best friend Sasuke, Sarada Uchiha. Sarada Uchiha is a compelling character who aims to carry the torch from Naruto Uzumaki, and become the compassionate leader of Konoha in the future. She also knows that she cannot accomplish that without becoming a monster in power, and right now, she's certainly on the right path.

Sarada Uchiha being the successor of Naruto Uzumaki doesn't come as a surprise to any fan. It is quite clear that Sarada Uchiha wants to become the Hokage of Konoha and that she carries the same aspirations that Naruto once did. Of course, both Sarada and Naruto wanted the position of Hokage for different reasons. For Naruto Uzumaki, becoming the Hokage was more about earning the acknowledgement of everyone who rejected him and cast him aside, and proving his worth. For Sarada Uchiha, the dream of becoming the Hokage exists simply because she wants to be more like Naruto and follow his teachings.

Boruto Has Officially Confirmed The New Successor Of Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke Uchiha has a new successor, and it isn't Sarada in Boruto.
To become the Hokage, Sarada needs two things: the Will of Fire, and immense power. As far as the Will of Fire goes, Sarada already carries it. She is one of the few Uchiha to not be affected by the Uchiha curse of hatred and the only one to awaken her Mangekyo Sharingan out of love instead of loss.
As far as powers go, Sarada Uchiha is a monster already. With her Mangekyo Sharingan, Sarada Uchiha was able to absolutely dismantle Ryu, one of the Shinju, and she can definitely do the same to the others as well. She's not the finished product yet, but she's definitely worthy of being the Hokage more than anyone else.

Sarada Uchiha Is Stronger Than Naruto Uzumaki Right Now
Naruto Has Been Severely Nerfed
It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Sarada Uchiha is already stronger than Naruto Uzumaki. This might sound unfair to many fans, but the truth is that Naruto Uzumaki has been nerfed severely in Boruto. Naruto has lost the power of Kurama. He's already been overwhelmed by the likes of Code. A stronger version of that Code was easily overwhelmed by Ryu, and Ryu was essentially one-shot by Sarada Uchiha. Right now, Sarada is stronger than Naruto, and she's already proving in every way that she's the most worthy successor of Naruto Uzumaki.
