With Naruto getting nerfed, a new power-up is needed. Naruto will have a huge upgrade in Boruto.
Over the timeskip of the Boruto series, fans have seen the likes of Boruto Uzumaki level up greatly. Sasuke Uchiha taught him all the techniques that he knew in about a year's time, and on top of that, fans also know he was trained by Kashin Koji, who gave him access to all the future abilities he learned across multiple timelines. Boruto Uzumaki is, at the moment, the strongest ninja alive, and he's one of the select few who can rival Naruto Uzumaki. In time, he will go even beyond the level of Naruto, thanks to his incredible abilities.
Boruto Has The Power Of Momoshiki's Karma
With the power of Momoshiki's Karma, Boruto Uzumaki essentially has access to all the powers, fighting style, and even muscle memory of the Otsutsuki. It is essentially a cheat code in battle, and the more Boruto uses it, the more of Momoshiki's power he'll be able to bring out. When he masters this power completely and couples it with his other great abilities that he learned over the timeskip, it goes without saying that he will have dethroned even his father as the strongest.

Boruto Will Surpass The Old Generation of Ninjas
Boruto Uzumaki is the protégé of Sasuke Uchiha, and the son of Naruto Uzumaki. As he continues to grow, he will surpass both of them, and that's a fact. This is easier for him to do than ever before now that both the legends have lost their best powers, but even that aside, he will go on to surpass them eventually.
Boruto Uzumaki is built up to be a phenomenal ninja who, despite being hated and defamed, works to protect his village. He is a savior who only works from the shadows, and for that reason, fans will always have sympathy for him. Boruto Uzumaki is like Itachi Uchiha in many ways, only stronger, and as he continues to grow, he will fulfil his potential and go on to surpass the ninjas of the old generation.
