Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues the story in interesting ways and along with giving the fans some of the biggest battles, the series is also giving a lot of importance to romance. This came as a surprise to many fans of the story, especially as Kishimoto's Naruto didn't give romance much attention. In fact, Kishimoto himself admitted that he wasn't too good at handling this aspect of storytelling, so he tried not to draw too much of it in the story. However, Boruto is different.
After 11 Years, A Legendary Ninja Is Set To Finally Return In Boruto
Boruto is set to bring back one of its most iconic characters, and he will play a huge role in the story.
Ikemoto is all for including romance in the series by the looks of it, with the main character, Boruto Uzumaki, being involved in a low triangle of sorts. Now, Ikemoto seems to have another major couple in the making, and that's the couple of Inojin Yamanaka and Himawari Uzumaki. This budding relationship has also had some great moments, and fans will most definitely see them get a central role in the upcoming arc of the series as well, as currently, they're the biggest Boruto couple under the spotlight.
Boruto Officially Sets Up Inojin and Himawari's Couple
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex set up a potential romance between Inojin and Himawari the moment the latter saved the former from death against Jura. When Team 10 fought Jura, Inojin was immediately skewered by the beast and left to die, which is what triggered Himawari's Kurama transformation. It didn't take Himawari long to save Inojin’s life, and it seems the latter started developing feelings for her since.

In the current arc, Inojin himself confirms that he is in love with Himawari and that he would go to any lengths to protect her. In fact, Inojin is currently learning a new Jutsu, and that's all for the sake of protecting Himawari. It's great to see Boruto focusing more on the side characters of the series, as well as giving romance some importance as well.
Inojin Wants To Protect Himawari At All Costs
At the moment, it seems that Inojin Yamanaka and Himawari are being set up to get major character moments as a couple in the upcoming arc. At the beginning of the arc, fans saw Himawari training so she could protect her loved ones better. Similarly, Inojin is undergoing training right now so he can protect the one he loves, and that's Himawari Uzumaki. Even if he has to push himself beyond all limits, Inojin Yamanaka will do whatever it takes to save Himawari to repay the debt and also to win her affection.

Why Boruto's Next Arc Will Be Huge For Inojin and Himawari
At the moment, it seems that both Inojin and Himawari will be major players in the next arc of Boruto, and it might give the fans a proper look at how the two would eventually go on to function as a couple. The current arc features Eida at its core, and with Eida comes the theme of love. Similarly, all those who have this theme going for them, such as Sarada Uchiha, Sumire, Inojin, and Himawari, will play a major role in the arc.
Bug has already attacked Konoha right now, and fans know that Jura has shown up in Konoha as well. Clearly, fans will see major battles brewing and it is there that the love of these characters will bloom. By watching each other's backs and protecting their loved ones, they'll grow even stronger. If Inojin and Himawari fight together and save each other, then it's a positive step from the author towards building a successful relationship between the two. Amidst all the confusion that surrounds Boruto, Sarada, and Sumire, at the very least, the couple of Himawari and Inojin is quite straightforward and practically confirmed.
