This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

The Boruto series has introduced fans to a number of powerful characters over the years, and it goes without saying that Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of Konoha, ranks among them. In fact, at the peak of his powers, Naruto is quite easily the strongest character in the whole series, not including Shibai Otsutsuki. Still, Naruto's handling in Boruto hasn't been ideal, and more than anything, fans know that he's been nerfed tremendously in the series so far.

Naruto lost his powers against Isshiki Otsutsuki, and later, he was even sealed. Even though Naruto was the Seventh Hokage, he was a shell of his former self, and his days as the strongest are officially over. This is precisely why fans need to look at the next generation of ninjas, among whom is the next Hokage of Konoha as well. While not yet at their peak, the next generation is already proving to be overpowered, and among them, Sarada Uchiha especially shines a lot. Sarada Uchiha will inevitably become the next Hokage of Konoha in Boruto, and given her progression, she is destined to beat even Naruto Uzumaki in terms of power.

Next Generation Always Surpasses The Old One

The idea of Sarada Uchiha surpassing Naruto Uzumaki might not seem ideal to many fans, but it is the truth that readers need to face. The next generation of shinobi is quite clearly overpowered, and fans know that very well.

This next generation consists of characters like Boruto Uzumaki, Kawaki, Sarada Uchiha, and even Himawari Uzumaki. All of them are overpowered in their own right, and most of them will likely go beyond the level of power that Naruto is currently at. In fact, some are already beyond that power level.

As far as Sarada Uchiha goes, the truth is that she might even surpass Six Paths Naruto. Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan awakened recently, and it gave her the power of Ohirume. This ability allows her to create up to four black holes, the size and power of which she can freely control. The gravity they possess is so strong that anyone can be utterly crushed within seconds, even the likes of the Shinju. Since Sarada can defeat the Shinju, she is already one of the strongest in the world, and she is already stronger than the current Naruto.

Sarada Will Unlock More Powers

Mangekyo Sharingan Is Only The Beginning

Fans know very well that Sarada Uchiha is already strong, but when she becomes Hokage, she will be even stronger. For now, she has only unlocked one of her Mangekyo Sharingan powers but fans know for a fact that her second ability, and her Susanoo is still to come. On top of that, Sarada could get the EMS as well, and the Rinnegan remains to be a possibility too.

The fact is, the next generation almost always surpasses the previous one in Naruto, and Sarada will most definitely go beyond Naruto when she becomes the Hokage of the village. Fans absolutely cannot wait to see what she's truly capable of doing as a ninja once she matures, and the potential she carries is greater than that of any shinobi.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's chapter 28 is set for its official release on November 20, 2025. The release time of the chapter is 10 AM EST/ 3 PM UTC. As always, fans can read the chapter officially for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
