Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has just marked the beginning of its new arc which is bound to be chaotic and exciting in its own way. As is quite clear already, the threats to face in this arc are going to be the Shinju as well. Fans are well aware of the fact that the Shinju aren't going to be easy to deal with. To fight them to the utmost best, the characters of Boruto are doing all they can to prepare themselves, and that means gaining new power-ups. Boruto Uzumaki was the latest one to head to Konoha for a new power-up, and work on it has already begun.

Fans were shocked by Kishimoto's death of an Uzumaki in Boruto.
What's especially interesting about this power-up is that it will automatically be passed on to Sasuke Uchiha once he does return. Things are going to be incredibly exciting for Sasuke in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex once the author decides to use him as more than just a plot device to progress the stories of the next generation forward. Sasuke's new power-up is going to come in the form of his sword. As fans know, Sasuke Uchiha wields a special blade that was taken over by Boruto after he fell in the battle against the Shinju. Now, Boruto is upgrading this blade with future technology, and it'll be stronger than ever before when it goes back to Sasuke.

When Sasuke Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki were training during the timeskip, Boruto was wielding just a regular Katana. However, this changed after their battle against Code. Sasuke did incredibly well in this fight and was even able to take an eye from Code. Unfortunately, the number of Claw Grimes that he had with him meant that Sasuke couldn't keep up and eventually fell.
Hey, Class rep, think you can upgrade this blade for me? — Boruto Uzumaki
He saved Boruto Uzumaki at the cost of himself, and later on, Boruto Uzumaki vowed to bring him back. Boruto also took the sword from Sasuke and has used it as his own weapon since.
Boruto: Kishimoto Confirms A Major Power-Up For Kawaki
Kawaki is in for a major power-up as the Boruto story progresses.
It is this very weapon that's going to be upgraded soon in Boruto. As fans saw in the previous chapter, Boruto Uzumaki has access to future technology, thanks to Kashin Koji. He was able to get his hands on this technology, create a scroll using it, and hand it over to Sumire, as she was the one who developed this technology in the future. Handing his sword over to her, Boruto Uzumaki has practically asked for his sword to be upgraded greatly with future tech, and that's what makes the story that much more exciting. To put it simply, Boruto's sword will be far stronger than it was when he gets it back.

Sasuke Will Be Otsutsuki Level In Boruto After Return
Sasuke Needs More Power-ups
While the blade belongs to Boruto Uzumaki right now, eventually, he will have to return it to Sasuke. After all, this sword does belong to him. Boruto only took it to wield it in his honor as he promised to free him. Once Boruto Uzumaki completes his job and Sasuke is free, he will end up returning the blade, which means whatever great scientific power-up the blade receives right now will pass directly to Sasuke Uchiha, making him even stronger than before.
