Naruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest ninjas to have ever existed in the Naruto franchise. Although he started his journey as a weak ninja, Naruto went on to surpass all limits and became the strongest ninja by the end of the original story. Even in the Boruto series, Naruto Uzumaki is incredibly powerful, and he has even gone on to reach newer heights of power with abilities such as the Baryon Mode.
Boruto: 7 Strongest New Jutsu In Two Blue Vortex
These new powerful jutsus in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex are not to be underestimated.
However, Naruto Uzumaki has been drastically nerfed as of late in the Boruto series. Many other shinobi have had the opportunity to surpass him, and not just one, but four new ninjas have managed to leave him in the dust so far. This might be shocking for the fans to hear, but Naruto's handling, as of late, has not been great in the Boruto series, and that is why many characters have pulled ahead of him.
Sasuke Uchiha
- Kekkei Genkai: Mangekyo Sharingan
- Special Ability: Amaterasu/Kagutsuchi
Sasuke Uchiha is Naruto's biggest rival and also his best friend. Fans know very well that Sasuke is incredibly powerful, and Kishimoto has always maintained that these two were equal in strength. In fact, at the beginning of the Boruto series, both Naruto and Sasuke were equal in terms of power. Then, Naruto went on to surpass Sasuke when he unlocked Beryon Mode, and immediately following that, both lost their biggest powers. Naruto lost access to Kurama, while Sasuke lost his Rinnegan.
At this point, it could be assumed that both of them were evenly matched. However, after Naruto was sealed away by Kawaki, Sasuke was out in the wild training his abilities to fight against the Otsutsuki. Sasuke trained Boruto, but the Boruto guidebook also confirms that Sasuke trained himself as well.
The results of these trainings were apparent immediately in Two Blue Vortex. At this point in the story, Sasuke Uchiha became strong enough to rival Code, who had multiple Claw Grimes at his side. Sasuke even took one of Code's eyes, which is very impressive, given that Code was supposed to be stronger than Jigen at this point.
Sasuke could not even touch Jigen, even with his Rinnegan in the past. Given that Naruto did not manage to train during this time and Sasuke clearly did, he was most certainly stronger than Naruto Uzumaki.
Kawaki
- Kekkei Genkai: Kokugan
- Special Ability: Daikokuten, Sukunahikona
Kawaki is one of the most important characters in the Boruto series and it goes without saying that he is also one of the strongest. Kawaki gained tremendous power after the death of Isshiki. This is because Kawaki had the Karma re-instated on his body, thanks to the help from Amado. This Karma did not allow Isshiki to stay inside his body. Instead, this power exists solely for the sake of Kawaki.
Over the years, he has trained this power immensely well. After the timeskip in the Boruto series, Kawaki has a fully matured Kokugan. At the same time, his abilities as an Otsutsuki power user have reached sky-high levels. Right now, Kawaki should be close to Isshiki Otsutsuki in terms of power, and that makes him incredibly impressive.
Kawaki being stronger than Naruto Uzumaki at this point in the story should not come as a surprise to anyone, especially after Naruto lost the power of Kurama.
Boruto Uzumaki
- Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan
- Special Ability: Karma, Rasengan: Uzuhiko
Just like Kawaki, Boruto Uzumaki has also gained tremendous strength across his journey in the story. While Boruto did not have much power initially, Momoshiki made him his vessel and this was the beginning of a very arduous run for him. Boruto Uzumaki ended up awakening tremendous power thanks to his Karma.
More than that, Boruto also trained with Sasuke Uchiha for one year and learned all the special jutsu that Sasuke knew. Then, he met Kashin Koji who helped him gain his best abilities across multiple timelines through his Prescience ability. It can be said that the current Boruto that exists is the best version of this character across all possible timelines.
Boruto: 8 Characters Himawari Uzumaki Will Surpass
Himawari will become one of Boruto's strongest characters. She will surpass these Legendary ninjas.
Even without his Karma, Boruto was able to beat Code in battle easily. He could even rival the Shinju and that certainly is very impressive. When unleashing the full power of his Karma, as he did recently, Boruto is so strong that he can even stand his own against the likes of Jigen and possibly even the Otsutsuki.
It might be hard for some fans to admit, but right now Boruto is way stronger than Naruto Uzumaki. Of course, this doesn't mean that Boruto has surpassed Naruto's peak, but the current Naruto would most definitely lose to him.
What's even crazier is that Boruto Uzumaki is nowhere near his full potential at this point. He still has another grade of Karma to unlock, and fans know that his strength level will only go up from here onwards. By the end of the Boruto series, it is entirely possible that Boruto would have surpassed even Baryon Mode Naruto, which is scary to imagine. He is full of potential, and rightly so.
Sarada Uchiha
- Kekkei Genkai: Mangekyo Sharingan
- Special Ability: Ohirume
Another next-generation ninja that has gone on to surpass Naruto Uzumaki is none other than Sasuke's very own daughter, Sarada Uchiha. Fans know Sarada to possess tremendous visual prowess. She had mastered the power of Sharingan after the two-year timeskip, but recently, she took her eyes to the next level.
Sarada finally unleashed the power of her Mangekyo Sharingan recently. As she did that, she awakened a skill that takes her beyond Naruto's power level. Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan ability is called Ohirume. This ability is incredibly powerful as it allows her to control the power of infinite gravity with her black holes.
Sarada can create up to four black holes, and the bigger their size, the stronger the gravitational pull. Their gravity is so strong that even someone as strong as the Shinju, who are confirmed to be above the level of Code, were absolutely obliterated in an instant.
This is only one of Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan abilities. It is highly likely that Sarada will go on to awaken another of these powers, and fans absolutely cannot forget about her Susanoo.
Naruto is strong, but he has not yet proven that he can fight at such a high level without Kurama at his side. Sarada will only continue to get stronger, and she might even get even stronger eyes in the future of the Boruto series. Her character is one to watch out for, and given that she is to become the next Hokage of Konoha, it would be fitting for her to surpass Naruto come the end of the series.
