Right now, Gaara is sealed away by Shinki using his strongest Sealing Jutsu. Given Gaara himself was badly injured when he was sealed away by Shinki, he could not break free. This essentially means that the only one who can undo this jutsu is Shinki, who was turned into a tree by the Claw Grimes. However, there is certainly a catch here. Ryu, who was born from Shinki's DNA, possesses all the same powers as him. He also knows all the Jutsu the Shinki knows, making him a formidable threat. This essentially means that Ryu can undo the Jutsu utilized by Shinki and he clearly stated that in the previous chapter of Boruto.

As was established in the previous chapter, Boruto and Kawaki will only resume their rivalry once the threat of the Shinju is dealt with. This essentially means that the Shinju do get defeated at some point by these two, and that is precisely why this alliance was groundbreaking in the previous chapter.

Now, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16 will most likely see Kawaki and Boruto join forces in an attempt to end this battle forever by taking down any Shinju there. It is highly likely the first Shinju to fall will be Ryu, given that he intends to consume Gaara. As things stand, it is highly unlikely for Ryu to stand against the many Shinobi in Sunagakure at once. This leads one to believe that other Shinju might accompany Ryu, which means that an all-out battle could potentially take place in the Hidden Sand Village. The excitement for this all-out battle is high, and fans cannot wait for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16, as it is going to set the basis for all this.

Boruto and His Allies Will Go All Out Vs The Shinju

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16, fans will most definitely get to see the war against the Shinju finally begin. Depending on how many Shinju make it to the Hidden Sand, this war could be a long one or, potentially even short. If Ryu heads to the village alone, then, it is highly likely that he will fall at the hands of Team 7 and Boruto Uzumaki. However, if Ryu is accompanied by someone, then fans could potentially see more than one Shinju fall, which would then make Jura the ultimate villain of whatever comes next. It is also possible that Code will intervene in the upcoming chapter of the story. This is because it was clearly established in the previous chapter that Jura intends for Code to kill Boruto and his accomplices. Code accepted this mission, but, whether or not he will be able to do that remains to be seen.

As things stand, Code isn't anywhere close to Boruto Uzumaki or Kawaki in terms of power and will most definitely suffer a massive defeat. Regardless, his involvement in the plot makes things more exciting, and fans cannot wait to see what Boruto delivers next month.

Above all, fans are very excited to see the Hidden Sand Village getting incorporated into the Boruto series, since the vast majority of the story has taken place in Konoha. Now, fans finally get to see the series explore the world beyond the Hidden Leaf Village, and that certainly makes for an exciting premise. Hopefully, Ikemoto will deliver upon all expectations and give fans an arc to remember. All that the fans need to do right now is sit back and wait for the upcoming chapter.
