Boruto: Two Vortex chapter 29 has given the fans quite a lot of exciting reveals. Quite easily, the most interesting reveal in this chapter was the conversation between Boruto Uzumaki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki. Fans know very well that Boruto and Momoshiki struck a deal a while ago. Boruto offered his own body to Momoshiki to do with it as he pleases and escape the prison that he was trapped in, on the condition that he would help him destroy all the Shinju.

While Momoshiki's answer was not initially revealed, in this month's chapter, it was made quite clear that Momoshiki agreed to the proposal, giving Boruto full access to the Karma. At the same time, Boruto also manifested the power of the Byakugan fully in the chapter, and this eye has now become a new weapon in his extensive arsenal.
Boruto Uzumaki Awakens The Byakugan In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29
- The Byakugan Adds To Boruto's Immense Power
- Boruto Uzumaki Now Has Otsutsuki Powers
The Byakugan is a very powerful eye that exists in the Naruto world. It is one of the three great Dojutsu, standing alongside the Rinnegan and the Sharingan. The Byakugan grants the power of X-Ray vision to the user. It also allows them to study the chakra nervous system and locate the Tenketsu of the enemy. When combined with powers such as the Gentle Fist, it allows the user to shut down the chakra points of the enemy, rendering them weak and useless in combat.
This place... This earth is my precious nursery. I cannot allow you to damage it anymore. Here, I shall erase you all from existence right now. All chakra belongs to me! Once again, all chakra shall become one. Hagoromo, Hamura. You betrayed me. I shall reclaim my chakra. — Kaguya Otsutsuki, Naruto
The Byakugan also gives the user the ability to see kilometers ahead. In fact, at his peak, Neji could see tens of miles ahead and locate every single speck of dust easily with his eyes. The Byakugan offers just about 360-degree vision, with only one blind spot near their spine. On top of that, fans also know that with Gentle Fist, the Byakugan also grants an ultimate form of defense to the user, making it a very special and underrated eye in the world of Naruto.
Now, Boruto Uzumaki has access to this eye, and that is thanks to Momoshiki. Fans know well that Momoshiki had access to the Byakugan, and this eye has now passed on to Boruto.
Boruto's Byakugan Comes From Momoshiki Otsutsuki
It must be taken into consideration that Momoshiki's Byakugan is quite special. For instance, fans know very well that Momoshiki could do things like freeze time with his powers somehow, and this could be connected to the Byakugan.
I get it. You have no hope for a future. You just want to kill me and just disappear from this world as soon as possible. Unless, you have a chance to obtain freedom, that is. These divine beings are a threat to both of us. Will you help me or not? — Boruto Uzumaki to Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Boruto: TBV chapter 29
Naruto: All New Boruto Dojutsu, Explained
Boruto has introduced new Dojutsu. Some are more unique than others.
At the same time, Momoshiki's Byakugan was also able to study the future itself, and he did that on multiple occasions. This power could also have passed on to Boruto Uzumaki, making him a ninja with special abilities up his sleeve. As the Karma's power is unleashed with the second stage, this eye could grow even stronger and possibly even evolve.
Boruto's Jougan Is Officially Non-Canon
For the longest time, Boruto fans were waiting for the Jogan to make an appearance in the manga. Now, with Boruto activating the Karma, it has become clear that his special eye is actually not the Jogan, but the Byakugan. In fact, the Jogan does not exist in the Boruto manga, and this is now a fact that fans need to accept.
The Jogan, at the end of the day, was something that the anime invented and does not exist in the Boruto canon. As unfortunate as that is, it never truly made sense that such an important element was introduced in the anime and was never even mentioned once in the Boruto manga. Now, the myth of the Jogan existing in the canon has been dispelled forever and fans should keep that in mind moving forward.
